Favors was 11-20...keep in minnd I am not saying Ty made the right call. I am just prodding those bitching to hone their arguement into something legitimate.

If Al takes 20 shots to score 23 points in 3 quarters he is killed on here. But its like Favors was having the greatest game since Wilts 100.

No al gets criticized if he scores 20pts on 23 shots...... if he gets 23 pts on 20 shots, then we just criticize his defense.
 
The reason people are pissed is because if Al was having even half the game Favors was having then Corbin would've subbed him in for Kanter with like 6 minutes left in the 4th. And I don't think anyone would dare to say i'm wrong about that.

While his D is criticised all the time we both know that is not true. You may not hit him on his O but plenty of others do. Al can do nothing right on here.

I do realize that half of Favors 20 shots were when he took 3 or 4 shots to put the ball in the damn hoop from point blank range, so its not like he was being a ball hog. I agree Al's D is atrocious and that is the main reason for his hate. I just want to see a good argument other than " Favors might have his feelings hurt".

If you actually watched the game, Favors probably had 23 on about 15 shots and 5 less rebounds. I'd say at least 5 times he rebounded his own misses and put them in.

Then you add in his defense...

No. When Al takes 20 shots that also means half the shot clock was used up on each of those 20 possessions with 4 other players standing around watching the black hole at work while the Jazz is mired in a double digit deficit.

how about that the offense is more diverse and everyone is involved in the offense.

But i shouldn't have to explain it to you.... you watch the games. How many games have we watched the bench come in and play great offense and defense and bring us back into the game after the starters get us behind?

This often happens but it is not Big Als fault. That is on the players. Al is often in the low post on the left block. Plenty of room to cut and what not on the right. I am all for hitting Al on his faults but let's be honest about it.

I agree, I hate hate hate watching Al play, its so damned boring, but hell Al doesnt make everyone else stick their fingers up their asses when he gets it, every once in awhile someone cuts and every once in awhile Al makes an ok pass. Al is definitely a BIG part of the problem but he isnt all of it.
 
I disagree. Alfense has become such a huge black hole that it's useless to run anything after he gets the ball. He's willing to pass up a 45+% three point shot in order to get his own 45-% ballerina spin around the triple team shot off.

Al Jefferson defined regression this season.

We have a 45% three point shot in our arsenal? Lets change that to 35%, and maybe even 20% the last few games. But yes Alfense is boring as hell.

I do not see that as a valid excuse. "I know he wont pass me the ball so I am just going to hang out over here" is crap. Not doing what you know you are supposed to be doing because of someone elses short comings not a good excuse.
