We really miss Big Al

Man, if this past week has proven anything it has been how much we need big al. Just look at how much we are missing him right now! Favors and especially, Kanter, just aren't ready yet. We miss Big Al's offense so much. Kanter can't score and Favors doesn't understand how to keep from fouling...

jazz seem a much better rebounding team without big al.
better defensive team
better road team
better offensive team

can someone tell me what al is good for?

fwiw, Jefferson would have come in handy to close the last two games (although he probably would have been **** the first 3 quarters).

He's a nice crutch for Ty, who apparently can't draw up a play down the stretch to save his life. Watching our team panic and blow leads down the stretch this season has been painful.

Yes he would have but we all know that the Jazz are not getting past the first round this year. So I'd rather have The Four learn how to close out games and get experience now. This season is not going to be much so just go with the youth.

I agree 100%. Jazz need to find some guards. 34 minutes of Randy Foye is never a good idea.

True but I am glad that Burks still saw nearly 30 minutes with Mo being back. Very good sign. I'd take time from Marvin adn give it to kanter and Carroll. I say give it to Kanter because Marvin played at the 4 tonight.

Another good night from Burks, Hayward and Kanter. Favors still struggles on O. If he can just learn to stay on the floor his D will greatly help the jazz.

Scoring more points than the other team????? I think that usually means a win.
I mean come on, yeah, you hate Al, got it. But you cant tell in the last two games that his scoring might possibly have helped? Better road team? as they lose two without him? Yeah, they might have lsot with him also, but to state they are a better road team is like saying the sequester is gonna cause the end of the world...sounds great, stupid people eat it up, but its flat out false.

I think with Big AL, unless he would have had like 35 and 15, we lose by more then one point to the Bucks. His defense would have killed us. The worst 5 defensive lineups have Jefferson in them. The best 5 defensive lineups do not have jefferson. With Jefferson on the floor, the jazz give up 106 points per 100 possessions. With Favors and KAnter the Jazz give up 96 points per 100 possessions. I like Jefferson as a teamate and as a guy but the team is less exciting to watch when he plays and we are terrible defensively when he plays. With KAnters Offense coming along... yeah :)

LOL, gotta love the Big AL haters. Most give no facts, just "would have loss worse" wow..nothing further to say, just gotta love 'em.

Additionally, I think the Hawks game is a great example of Al's lack of defense. He game up a ton of layups that night and Horford ended up with around 30 something. I like Jefferson and I think he is an individual of quality, but I think it would be best to let him walk this summer.

I'm not a "Big Al Hater" - I merely think he's not a basketball player who should be a #1-option on a team that wants to win big now or in the future.

That said, on the road Al Jefferson averages 15.8pts on 14.9 shot attempts while shooting 46% from the floor. The Jazz are 10-19 on the road when Big Al plays with an average margin of losing at -11.6 points in those 19-losses - so I think the argument that the Jazz would have been in a much worse position than an 8-point lead with 2:46 to play had Al Jefferson played tonight has some merit.
