Self Defense

lifestyles like this will also keep stock brokers stretching their suspenders; if you can evade being robbed by these thieves, you stand a fair chance of having kids willing to quarrel over the Estate.

Details? I want to learn. PM me maybe, or better, put a chapter on this in your Longest Thread Ever, please and thank you. My broker just cost me a big chunk this week, I want to find out if others have similar experiences.

Krav maga all the way.

Trust me. if you do krav maga twice a week within 2 years you will be able defend yourself from the most common attacks.
if you got a great krav maga instructor. within 3-4 years training twice a week for an hour. you will learn to sruvive.

btw are there any krav maga schools(dojo) in utah?

Krav classes are $120 per hour, per session with a good trainer out my way. No problem. At twice a week, we're only looking at a little over $10,000 a year for some Krav training that we will likely never use. Sounds like a brilliant investment.

All my recent buys have been no commission ETFs through TD. Between that and the 0.07% fees charged by IVV, there is no better option for S&P investing. It's virtually free.

It is expensive. For economical reasons some Kenpo, Jui Jitsu or Tae Kwan Do would be better.

Or you could get a gun and shoot the intruders genitals off.

I live on a block with street lights, have an 85 pound Chow/Shepherd mix, an alarm system with sensors on all doors and first floor windows, a few alarm system signs/stickers on my premises, and motion sensor lights for my backyard, driveway, and frontdoor.

Kenpo, good dogs, lights, an alarm and self defense weapons such as a taser and/or gun. If you feel the need for more than you need to seek counseling or move to a better neighborhood.

Sounds like good, reasonable precautions to me.

At a third the cost, I'm still spending about $7,000 on something I'll almost definitely never use. If a situation did arise, that doesn't mean, I'd react like I'd hope I would and wouldn't get more ****ed up than had I just avoided engagement all together.

Most people are in those classes for reasons other than self defense. Especially thos ein those classes for a long time. Also I have taken some Kenpo and the first thing taught me was how to get away and avoid a fight if at all posible. Most of the basic moves are designed to buy you a little bit of time to get away.
