Could The Utes Possibly Have A Basketball Program Again?

On a side note whoever brought up that other team shouldn't have, it ruins a perfectly good bump of a thread.
As usual it was a tool Ute fan. I think that guy has an alarm or something that reminds him to think about BYU every 30 seconds or something.

People let's try to keep this thread about the Utes please.

A nice run is possible. A great end to the season no matter what now.

In the context of recent Utah basketball, this season is a success, no matter how they fare from here on out. I'm encouraged. Krystkowiak has started to turn the corner with a team that was about as bad as it could be. I'm impressed.

The irony factor with this guy is off the charts.

Have I ever posted in a BYU thread? Certainly. Do I do it to the extent that you do in these Utah threads? Not even close pal. I'm sure if somebody didn't have a life, they could do the math. The numbers wouldn't lie.

Anyway, you were right on cue with your post. I appreciate how dependable (or is it predictable) you are. Like I said, keep up the good work!

Double prizes for you! A long-winded post and whine about something you do exponentially more than I do.

Here's the problem that I'm seeing. You guys don't have a lot of young talent according to the stats and from what I've seen. Washburn/Duboiss/Martin, etc. are eating minutes and those are okay players at best. Loveridge is nice, but I think you guys have a glut of underclassmen that can't play and will just be taking up scholarships that are needed elsewhere. Dorrel Wright's brother that you guys signed from a JC looks interesting.

I don't know, I was actually giving you guys props earlier because the coaching seems to be there now, I'm just not seeing the talent infusion yet though. I don't like either of your high school signees from Salt Lake.

That part takes time though. We are coming from basically nothing. And the program needs rebuilt. The Utes have had very little to sell recruits the last few years. This can be a building block though.

I mentioned earlier the talent still needs to get better and of course being a fan I have a bias but the talent (or lack of as you hinted at) is still better than it was the previous couple years. You mention Jordan Loveridge and to me he seems legit and my next hopeful that will step up next year is Dakarai Tucker and the big men (Olsen & Bachysnki) will be better next year and I think the other guards could be okay hard to say. However I do think it will be hard to improve that much next season and take that next leap forward without better talent.

I'm trying to say that I don't think they'll take a step back but wont make a huge leap next year because they are maxing out the talent they currently have. I do think the record next year would be a little better just not leaps better, if that makes sense.

It's definitely a process. But Krystkowiak has things going in the right direction, unlike his predecessors.

I know he has serious manstalklove for me. Never seen another poster who mentions me near the amount he does. Kinda creepy.

Say's the tool who jumped back into this thread based off a post I made regarding Utah's performance in the Pac tourny. Sorry tough guy, but you're the follower in this scenario. No big deal, somehow I gather that you're just fine with bringing up the rear.

Thanks for upping the creepy factor, Sally. I thought we were maxed out there.

The jazz need krisco

This is seriously a nice story. I hope the utes win the tourney. It would be great for the state given how sucky sports have been lately. And a tremendous boost to a program that was just horribly crappy the last few years.

I don't know why any true fan of the rivalry doesn't want to see Utah win a lil. It's no fun when one team wins every sigke year. Just ask Utah fans in suspenders.

No fun when your kicker gets 3 chances to win and still can't deliver... Freakingn dumbass... And when even though the opponent is without their starting qb and Rb and still dominates.
