Second Chance Players?

As this season has depressed me I have thought about players that would get me excited for the Jazz next season. The Jazz have been good at giving players a second chance and some times they have thrived here in Utah. (i know all the corbin comments will come out) I was looking at a few players that might be fairly cheap but could get a second chance in Utah.

Ben Gordon - If the Jazz aren't committed to Randy Foye Gordon might be a nice spark plug off the bench. Personally i think his best days are behind him. Gordon is a better scorer then foye but not as a good of shooter. the price that he will expect is the biggest key.

Josh McRoberts - Would be worth looking at for a 4th big on the roster. He is a hustle player that isn't bad with a jumper.

Reggie Williams - Again if the Jazz have given up on Foye and his defense Williams might be a nice option for a 3 pt specialist.

Daniel Gibson - Might be a nice back up PG depending on who the Jazz get in the Draft.

Anthony Marrow - See Williams

Brendan Wright - He has potential but is super skinny. As a 4th big i wouldn't mind giving him a contract although in this case i would rather see Evans get these minutes next year.

DJ Augustine - If Mo cant say healthy i wouldnt mind looking here for a PG for the next 2 years to start.

Sam Young - Redundant to Carroll but i like the way he plays if he could just hit the 3.

Earl Clark - Is finally playing well but if the price is right nice big off the bench.

Mike Dunleavy - Dude doesn't play defense but as an instant offense guy off the bench he might be worth a look. nothing more then around the mid though.

Al- Fariq Aminu - Great to have good defenders come in but his shot is killing him also.

Xavier Henry - hasn't done anything yet but again better option then murphy riding the pine. Maybe he will show something.

Beno Udrih - Nice to have a scoring PG coming off the bench but depends again on who the Jazz draft.

Wesley Johnson - Is the one that i am the most interested in. Would love to see Carroll and Johnson competing for playing time. I think in the Jazz system Johnson will flourish.

Cole Aldrich - Disappoinment i know but as a 5th big why not. Maybe he will like the enviroment in Utah and get better.

I am not lookign for players that will take time away from the core4 +1 but who will push them and make them better. Maybe find a diamond in the rough.

But we already have Hayward and Burks that need sufficient time there. It's the best position for both of them.

Josh McRoberts - Would be worth looking at for a 4th big on the roster. He is a hustle player that isn't bad with a jumper. I like the basic idea here but he's very inefficient.

Reggie Williams - Again if the Jazz have given up on Foye and his defense Williams might be a nice option for a 3 pt specialist. He's more of a two I think. See my comments on Gordon. Plus, this "specialist" is shooting under 30% from three. His career numbers looks solid though. Tink knows more. For some reason, I think he hated him.

Daniel Gibson - Might be a nice back up PG depending on who the Jazz get in the Draft. Never did anything for me.

Anthony Marrow - See Williams Again, we have Burks and Hayward. I like Morrow in a specialty role but I'm not thrilled with Hayward at the 3 for the majority of his time and to get Burks PT and a guy like Morrow on the court, that's what would have to happen.

Brendan Wright - He has potential but is super skinny. As a 4th big i wouldn't mind giving him a contract although in this case i would rather see Evans get these minutes next year. Good idea imo though I don't know if he's winning basketball when he's out there per se.

DJ Augustine - If Mo cant say healthy i wouldnt mind looking here for a PG for the next 2 years to start. Agreed but with the stipulation that Burke starts when he's ready.

Sam Young - Redundant to Carroll but i like the way he plays if he could just hit the 3. Keep Carroll.

Earl Clark - Is finally playing well but if the price is right nice big off the bench. I'd guess he'll probably be way too much for what we're looking for.

Mike Dunleavy - Dude doesn't play defense but as an instant offense guy off the bench he might be worth a look. nothing more then around the mid though. I'm personally done with guys who can't defend. Foye, Mo, Jefferson have to go. I wouldn't want him either.

Al- Fariq Aminu - Great to have good defenders come in but his shot is killing him also. Maybe if a new coach comes in and tells him to stop shooting from deep.

Xavier Henry - hasn't done anything yet but again better option then murphy riding the pine. Maybe he will show something. Burks and Hayward again...

Beno Udrih - Nice to have a scoring PG coming off the bench but depends again on who the Jazz draft. Maybe. I think he'd cost too much for my liking.

Wesley Johnson - Is the one that i am the most interested in. Would love to see Carroll and Johnson competing for playing time. I think in the Jazz system Johnson will flourish. Decent idea but I have no confidence in the guy.

Cole Aldrich - Disappoinment i know but as a 5th big why not. Maybe he will like the enviroment in Utah and get better.5th big? LOL.

I think Bonner would be an interesting 4th big. Screw the Spurs and get him here for a couple years.

I wouldn't mind Aminu and/or Clark.

I would take Gordon off of the Bobcats hands for a pick or MKG. I know more pieces would need to be involved but I would consider throwing in one of the first rounders this year.

I really like the DJ Augustine idea. He's young and quick, nothing great though. I think he could challenge Mo a bit and make Mo try harder.

I really want us to try and keep Millsap if the price is right. Start him at the 3 next season and have Marvin be the backup 4. I'd also like to sign Dalembert. Have Burks be our sixth man.

Williams, Burks
Hayward, Burks
Millsap, Carroll
Favors, Williams
Enes, Dalembert

All I think of with "2nd chance players" is guys we can bring in to start over the C4. I wouldn't mind options at PG though.

Burke - Udrih - Burks
Hayward - Burks - Caldwell-Pope
Dunleavy - Carroll - Evans
Kanter - McRoberts - Evans
Favors - Aldrich

I want Smoove at the 3.

I want Hibbert's screwy *** at the 5.... maybe not we already have 3 to root for.

I want David West at the 4.

I want Tony Allen for his defense (no, not after tonight, I have him on my dream team going back..)
