Are you guys complete?

I find the term "significant other" redundant.

If you have a wife and a girlfriend, using the term "significant other" at least lets one know which "other" you are referring to.

And you didn't answer the question.

The idea of "finding" someone to make yourself complete is also redundant. It suggests certain concepts of egocentrism which might be best perceived if you exchanged perspectives, momentarily of course, such as claiming yourself to be the missing piece of someone else.

But no, you're just wrong. I did answer the question. I said "I find the term "significant other" redundant." How could I find such a result unless "I" am somehow relevant to the experience, and how would I know I was redundant as being either the "significant" one, or the "other" one in the view of the one who is both the "significant" one and the one who is relevant one "other" refers to?

And obviously, it is my point of view, not hers, that is "redundant".

This was significantly difficult to follow.

Ahh, but you can be completed by someone else, without completing them. Take some time to ponder this and tell me your brain things after.

Soo you don't have a girlfriend?

Soo you don't have a girlfriend?

perhaps.

depends on whether I get off this board and listen to her once in a while.

I don't know, but there's some rattling dishpans in the kitchen. Not sure if she's packing her stuff or fixing breakfast.

doesn't matter, one way or the other. . . .

I'm complete with this computer.
