Good Chance Burks Will be Traded This Summer

Consider this: The Jazz system has always needed a good PG to be successful. Our best years have always been centered around PG play. If Trey Burke impresses KOC and Lindsey this Summer, I am pretty positive the Jazz will make a run at getting Him on draft day. Look for the Jazz to trade Alec Burks and their two draft picks just to get him. I honestly think there is a super strong possibility that this will happen... it makes too much sense not to happen. If there are any lottery teams willing to tango, the deal will get done. The Front office knows we need a PG and if Trey Burke or even Smart impress them enough, the deal will get done. I think Trey Burke is the guy they will be targeting. Don't be suprised if it happens. I'm calling it. We'll trade our 13th or 14th pick, The GSW pick and Alec Burks to get it done. Frankly, as much as i like Burks, I like the idea of landing Burke even more. Next season, we'll likely have a new Core Four and that isn't a bad thing, seeing that Trey Burke looks as poised and ready to lead an NBA team as any college PG i have seen in quite some time.

I know a lot of people are excited about Trey Burke. I can't say I've paid enough attention to have an opinion on him myself, but Burks and 2 draft picks (one of which may be a lottery pick) seems like a lot to give up for Burke.

I'm honestly thinking about not being surprised about Thinking About It. If they do it, I'll try not to be surprised. I mean, think about it.
 
Not sure I would give Burks and Jazz two first rounders for him.
If Jazz gut team and let Millsap, Jefferson, Mo, Foye, Watson, Tinsley all go they will need players.
A three for one trade for Burke really sets Jazz back.
I might give Burks and GS pick to move up for Burke.
Then get Glen Robinson III with Jazz own first pick.

There is now way the jazz are trading two draft picks and Burks for anyone in this draft...

Next years draft yes this years no freakin way!

Burks has shown he can play in the NBA...

Bingo! And I am not 100% sold on Burke. The two games I have seen him under pressure, he played like @$$. I need to see more of him when the pressure is on. But so far i don't like that trade at all.

Would you give up Burks and the GSW pick for Burke? Just saying, if he impresses, and i think he will stand out to KOC and Lindsey, The jazz will do what they have to do to land him.

He's been really poised though, even when he has struggled, he has shown that he is mentally tough. He's the real deal. and he played great against VCU. the only team he has played bad against has been south dakota. I know he had 7 to's against VCU, but over the entire season where they palyed against 11 top 25 ranked teams, he played well. that is a much larger sample size.

I like this a lot. Hopefully it is possible. I'd love to have GR3. One thing is for sure, we need a PG and KOC and Lindsey know it better than anyone.

Nope... Would probably do both our picks for him!!
 
I would not give up alec burks straight up for trey burke even with no draft picks involved.
 
If this happens it'll mean that the prize for being in the playoffs = losing Burks. (i.e., we could have had Burke if we were in the lottery).

Really? I have noticed that on Jazzfanz, Virtually everyone is super protective of Ale[x] Burks... this amuses me ha. seriously though, I think there is a good chance Burks will make a jump next season and be pretty good, but I also think Trey Burke is going to be Chris Paul-lite. That is pretty good for a PG, especially when you consider that Chris Paul is the 2nd or 3rd best player in the league. We need a guy that can run the offense and be a leader at the PG. A guy that knows how to win. What treyb Burke has done with Michigan this season is no small feat. he is the cog that makes it all work and I think he will be pretty fabulous as a PG in the NBA.

Chad Ford said two or three days ago that all the GMs and Scouts are saying Burke is a high lottery pick. they are virtually all saying he is the real deal. If he impresses enough, I think the Jazz give up what they have to so they can get him.
