Right now, David Locke is heaping pukingly sugary praise about Ron Boone.
Sure, it's great to be with someone with so much experience, but is he all that insightful?
IMHO, Booner has a brain for radio.

Boone seemed to be on total autopilot about 95% of the time but would occasionally offer a nugget of insight that was honestly brilliant.
I sometimes wondered if he was secretly really smart and had been beaten down by years of producers telling him to dumb down his content to the average viewer.
He was also really cool if you tracked him down at visiting arenas. He was cool to me personally in at least 5 "away" arenas (Atlanta, Memphis, Oakland, Sacramento, and Denver) and I have no reason to believe that he would have ever remembered me specifically, so I suspect he's just a nice guy who's willing to engage with fans. Hard for me to hate on a guy like that who's been associated with professional basketball for decades.

Its actually much rarer these days to find a broadcast team that are not homers for the team they cover. Almost none call it straight down the middle so Utah will not be different than any other team.

Boone's more melo tone and slow talking will complement Locke well. Hopefully Locke calms down with Boone and Boone gets more excited with Locke.
I love Harpring. I thought he was great. He speaks his mind and doesn't get caught up in standard commentary. He makes it more entertaining for me. Just like Jeff Van Gundy on ABC and ESPN. Way more fun to listen to guys speaking there mind rather than sounding methodical and boring. They sound fake sometimes. Harpring sounds more real. I also like that Matt Harpring talks a lot which means Bolerjack will talk less and focus more on talking about what is happening. I think it works out well.
