What's new

#75 Potland Trailblazers at Utah Jazz 7:00 Pm MTN 4-1-13

Avery Johnson compared Favors to Tim Duncan (when Favors was coming into the league). I think Favors can give us Duncan-like numbers. Duncan used to get major minutes, and if Favors gets 36 MPG he's going to have crazy numbers.

God I hope so!

We looked good tonight. I think we can play better though. I don't know if we can get past the Spurs, but it will be a better series than last year - the Jazz won't get stomped and swept.

Good to see Maynor and Mathews with good games while the Jazz get a W. I know Mo and Foye are playing great now. It's normal for shooters to go through hot and cold spells. Maybe we get lucky and they stay on fire for a while. I still maintain that Mo is as much a pg as Burks. I hope the Jazz can put him at the 2 at some point if he comes back.

Go Mavs!

I think we'll win two games - especially if Manu isn't playing. And if we win two, it won't be a stomping. I would be surprised is they swept us.
Um.. Tyrone Corbin. 'Nuff said. 5 wins against awful teams doesn't erase 2 months of udder garbage.

HAHAHAHA
wow these 5 wins made fans delusional.
nothing has changed
jazz will get swept assuming jefferson is healthy

Wednesday will show how good the Jazz really are.

Remember, the last 5 games each team has been missing one of their top 2 players and all but Brooklyn have been lotto teams. Enjoy the easy stretch but this winning streak has not changed anything for me.

I just don't want Corbin or most of the vets back.

I'm not basing this on the five-game streak. Like I said - we'll revisit this during the playoffs. I'm looking forward to it....

I hate to rain on the parade... But we allowed porty to shoot 58 percent from the field and score 102 pts.

How well is our d going to translate in the playoffs?

you look foward to a slaughteR?
good luck with that

Slaughter?
Highly doubtful...... as the Jazz are almost a completely different team then they were last year, greatly improved.
Big Al...... improved.
Favors.... improved.
Hayward..... improved.
Burks.... actually gets on the floor.
Kanter.... vastly improved, but unfortunately won't play.

The Spurs are worse with Ginobili's injury, and the fact that Pop won't be able to rest Parker and Duncan as much as he did last year before the playoffs.

It's hard to rout against the Jazz. I simply can't do it while they are playing.
It's easy to get caught up in the excitement of this little mini run.
We simply aren't seeing the big picture here though. The vets are waking up to finally play for contracts next year, and Corbin will be back.
This is fun now I'll even admit it, but the hangover will be vicious in a few weeks.
