Carlos Boozer out for 8 weeks right hand

This quote does not pass my smell test. Why's he bringing his (impressive) body fat into the explanation? But the real slip is "I guess I had to brace myself." He guesses? To me it sounds like, "I'm an excellent athlete so you know this was an accident" followed by, "And here's a plausible theory for how it happened." Someone who isn't guilty says, "I fell, I braced myself, I can't ****ing believe I broke my hand."
Normally, when he falls on the court, he has his teammates to brace himself with (or push out of the way).

This is by no means conclusive evidence for Boozer's situation, however, I will submit it as evidence anyway;

That is an X-ray of my hand after punching a house. 5th metacarpal, right hand. And again, breaking down the physics in play, there really isn't a way to break that bone without injuring something else (wrist, finger, knuckle joint) UNLESS you're punching something.

I broke the same bone in a boxing match. Hit my opponent with a jab and had to forfeit. His *** is definitely lying.

ahahahahahahaha. Perfect start to the season. Same old Boozer enjoying his pay from the bench. hahahahahahahahaha

I heard it was actually broken fingernail, which is too tough for Boozer to play through, thus, out for 8 weeks.

:D

K, Dr. NUMBERICA.
This is all pretty standard information for a simple injury. This isn't a knee joint, a ham-string, or back injury where treatments, diagnosis, and heal time vary wildly. This is cut-and-dry. A fracture on anyone but someone with a disease for this injury is a 6-week heal time. He'll have to do some rehabbing but the pinky is of negligible importance and 2 weeks should be an abundant amount of time to get sufficiently recovered.

But I'll shut up now. His story is fishy as hell, though.

You might wanna slow down with "sweet zingers" like that......2 posts in we might expect that level of genius every time!

Boozer suffered the injury on Saturday during the Bulls' day off. According to team sources, Boozer tripped over a bag in his house and fell.

So Booz tripped over one of his bags of cash that he looted from the Bulls. Ironic or Karmic?

This makes a lot more sense. You don't fracture single metacarpals falling very much. The wrist would be sprained if that were the case, unless he landed with a clenched fist with a locked wrist, which is basically a punch anyway.

I'm calling Bull ****. He punched something.

Not quite. Here is the story
https://www.suntimes.com/sports/basketball/bulls/2769536,CST-SPT-bull04.article

''I was running, my doorbell had rang, and I tripped over a bag and fell down and tried to brace myself,'' he said. ''I'm 265 with 5 percent body fat. ... I guess my weight just collapsed my bone.''

The incident can be classified as a fluke, but Boozer's propensity for getting injured was one of the cons listed when the Bulls signed him as a free agent over the summer. He has missed 145 games in eight NBA seasons because of a variety of injuries, including a total of 80 games his first two seasons in Utah.

Funny stuff. The dude tripped over his own bag of loot.

Thibodeau's defense just got better.
