Long time lurker, but had to chime in on this. He broke the 5th metacarpal. The only way you break that bone by falling is if you fall on your hand in a clenched fist and hit it first. It's called a "boxers fracture" for a reason. Dude is definitely lying. Have fun Bulls fans!

This makes a lot more sense. You don't fracture single metacarpals falling very much. The wrist would be sprained if that were the case, unless he landed with a clenched fist with a locked wrist, which is basically a punch anyway.

This is by no means conclusive evidence for Boozer's situation, however, I will submit it as evidence anyway;

That is an X-ray of my hand after punching a house. 5th metacarpal, right hand. And again, breaking down the physics in play, there really isn't a way to break that bone without injuring something else (wrist, finger, knuckle joint) UNLESS you're punching something.

I broke the fifth metacarpal of my right hand falling off my bike in 2008. As the poster above mentioned, probably with my fist clenched and for obvious reasons strong right wrist in a locked position.

That said, of course Boozer didn't fall. He hit something other than his bitch wife. Expect the real story (or questions about it) to be all over ESPN this week.

They updated the story on ESPN. According to team sources, Boozer tripped over a bag in his house and fell.

That is just too funny. Sad, but funny.

What was Cece doing on the floor? Did he knock her down first and then trip over her?
And I agree regarding the 8 week prognosis; it will be at LEAST 10-12 before he feels like he's completely healed and ready to go. Maybe we ought to just loan them a few quotes from Carlos back in '04-05 when he only played 51 games. Good thing he has all those fancy suits so he can look godd sitting behind the bench.
