What's new

We are going to be luckier than Charlotte...and get the #2 pick.

Ohhh. I thought that with the 12 months ago comment you were simply referring to another 6'10" 200lb guy coming out from UK. Mr. Anthony "One Brow" Davis.

Yup. You saw how Davis held up over the season being so light. Noel doesn't stand a chance. The dud will literally break the first time Howard or Kanter backs him down.

No doubt he needs bulk and strength in a hurry. I've not pimped Noel on here at all .. other than to say his blocks and steals numbers were off the charts and his motor is mind-blowingly good.

But, he gets pushed around and his offensive game is waaay raw. I really like the kid, but there's no way he'd be a number 1 pick in any draft I can remember.

Nobody wants to pick #1 they say. Jazz have next to zero chance of winning the lottery. But in this case since winning the lottery is being compared to losing the lottery I guess the Jazz will beat the unbeatable odds and get the #1 pick. It is that kind of bitter cruel irony that as a Jazz fan of 20+ years I have come to accept as Jazz reality. Jazz will finally 'win the lottery' in the year when there is nothing to win but pain and frustration.

sigh. Somebody has to win.

I would be totally fine with winning the lottery. It would be a better asset than any we could get with the 14th and 21st picks. We could potentially trade it for a great pick next year.

People are stupid if they literally don't want to win the lottery... and I don't believe anyone is saying that.

Obviously winning it this year has ZERO statistical impact on whether we get lucky again in future years.

All I'll say is I would be shopping that pick if we won.
