14: Shabazz Muhammad

Analysis: The Jazz's biggest need is at the point, but if Burke and McCollum are both off the board, they'll have to look elsewhere. Enter Muhammad. The Jazz also need an elite scorer, and Muhammad is one of the most gifted in the draft. His stock has slipped the past few months, but no one doubts that there still a lot of talent there. This would be an absolute steal for the Jazz if he's still on the board.

21: Shane Larkin

Analysis: The Jazz still need a point guard, and Larkin looks like the perfect fit. He had a terrific performance at the combine, shot the ball well and tested off the charts athletically with a 44-inch vertical (the second highest ever measured at the combine) and showed elite speed. Yes, he's undersized, but with that athletic ability and range on his jumper, he should be just fine in Utah.

I am becoming less and less of a fan of Larkin's. Lack of size and poor defensive fundamentals and effort. He struggles to finish at the rim too. I just don't see him as a legit 1st round talent.

Shabazz, I have seen a lot less of.

I'd gladly trade all three picks for shabazz .. so I like it. I still think Chad is buying BS.

Join the "No to Larkin" club. I'm the president and I'm looking for a VP. Any interest?

I think we'd have to be happy with this draft, but it wouldn't be our ideal choice.
Now if we got the Dallas pick, and landing Bazz and Schoeder I think I'd need to giggle in the closet for a day or two.

Larkin seems like a bit of a reach here doesn't he? I don't know anything about him besides reading some of the bios,
and reading stuff here. Seems like Bazz would be A+ value at 14, and Larkin C- @ 21.

Every year there's a team that falls prey to that gifted Wing who has not a brain. Kirk Snyder, oj mayo, michael beasley, jr smith, Rashard mccants, houston's scared of airplanes guy, lindsay lohan, etc. are the jazz a lil hesitant to roll the dice fearing another Kirk Snyder?

Draft Muhammad at your own risk. IMO, he's a complete head case. Does that mean he will be a bust? I don't know. He could be Paul George or JR Smith. I'd definitely see about rolling the dice on a big or Greek basketball Moses at 14. Keep your options open. I also wouldn't be completely against drafting Muhammad. He's really talented. And I do like some of the things he does. In an alec burks like way, he wants to have control and wants to shoot and is very capable of scoring a lot.

Ill-informed.

I'm joining that club. Larkin is 2nd round talent. Like his scoring, but that dude has so many limitations and I can't stand how easily opposing guards blew by him.

And...

He's left handed.

A 6 foot 6 left handed SG/SF with good offensive skill, terrible defense, and a question mark upstairs? Sound familiar?

;)

Well if he sounded ok in an interview then he must be normal.... Because, interviews are never deceptive.

I'm telling you you're wrong about the headcase thing.. not that I expect anyone to take my word for it. Kid is actually a warrior.. with a douchey dad.

honestly I could see the picks going this way to 14. I think the jazz would need to trade up and get schöder also and it would be an amazing draft.
