Most here know my stance on 'Bazz. Great ball player AND good kid. Bad rep for his dad's ********.

Imagine how shady his dad has been when these a lot of these things that have been discussed about 'Bazz are not against the law........

What SUCKS.. is 'Bazz will feel the need to pay his Pop's bills and fines and fees, etc. Happens too often. This is the same reason Kelenna Azubuike went pro earlier than he felt ready.. his dad was convicted of fraud and needed $300,000+ in restitution to keep out of prison. Kel immediately signed with an agent to get an advance and his career veered for a selfish father.

Newest article on 'Bazz' dad.

would you still draft shabazz at 14 if he is there?

100%.

What my stance has been is that 90% of the 'bad stuff' said about 'Bazz is completely on his dad. He has made statements in the past 6 months that he is done taking advice (meaning allowing them to make his decisions for him) from family. He had never said this before and I do believe him. Maybe I'm a fool... but that's my guess.

You take him at 14. He is too good to pass. You can help him with his dad. Bazz's problem aren't that he is a bad guy. His problem is easily fixable.

Wow.. Prince is looking hawt nowadays

Haha.. franklin deleted his post so mine makes no sense, now... not that mine made any sense anyway.

Bazz at 14 is a no-brainer, IMO. It's not at all far fetched to have him end up being the best player in this draft class. Am I saying he will? No. But it wouldn't shock me.

It's weird to argue that Shabazz is an angel BECAUSE his dad is a complete piece of **** (which has already been known for some time). At the end of the day, it's all about this kid and his decisions and right now, the deck is stacked against him. If he disowns his father, then let's have the conversation that he's no longer misguided.

Don't be too hard on yourself, PKM. Of your 29,200+ posts, I'm sure half made sense or were of some nominal value. And on the adjusted POV (Posts of Value) scale, that still puts you solidly in the lead.

Bazz is getting interviewed by Jim Rome at the top of the hour. (12). He's on 1320 KFAN for those round SLC. Personally I love Romes interviews, think he asks good questions and usually has good followup questions as well.

Assuming Bazz becomes a star in this league, what is going to stop Holmes from forcing his son to LA or NY where ringing endorsements await? Bazz would either force a team's hand through a trade, or simply play out his qualifying offer. Food for thought if your a small market team in the lottery.

'Bazz is going to become his own man. That's how I would bet.
