There was probably some survey showing that Estonia had a lot of non-believers. And they are currently not doing all that well economically.

Estonian economy was one of the fastest growing in the world until 2006 with growth rates even exceeding 10% annually. Despite some concerns both in and outside of the country, the Estonian economy and its currency remained highly resilient and solvent.

I think TBS is confusing Estonia with Ethiopia.

Well Estonia and Czech republic are not quite as bad as North Korea and Cuba (lets also mention Uruguay in the mix, the most atheistic country in Latin America, also the poorest country in Latin America). They just haven't separated themselves from the rest of Europe like Sweden and Norway has. Irrational atheists like to point out or at least imply that the reason why Norway was able to separate themselves economically was because of their lack of faith while ignoring the fact that Estonia and Czech republic are way more atheistic than Norway.

I know correlation does not equal causation. The only reason I am bringing up these atheistic countries with medicore or downright poor economies was to show that you were cherry picking data.

If looking at GDP per capita Urugway is ranked third in S.America, only behind Argentina and Chile.
Annual economic growth - second best in S.America.
