Spend 5 mil on a buyout (pulling this out of my ***), and give him a 4 year (4th year team option) 17 million dollar deal. Not exactly crazy.
 
No, the Jazz need to build around young players with upside. If they went after a youngster like they did in Boozer and Okur, then I'd understand. But paying a ton of money to an older guy who is not producing, is hurt on top of that and is grossly overpaid makes no sense. I predict Toronto won't be able to trade him.

regretfully the jazz can only pay like 750k toward the buy out but could offer a large front loaded contract.

Riiiiight. I forgot about that. Still, 22 mil for 4 years of Tomic (4th year being a team option) is not outrageous. A little high, and a bit of a risk-- but the guy is 26, and led his team to the Final 4 of the Euroleague IIRC.

Bring him in. If there's a time to bring Tomic over, I'd say it's this offseason
 
Tomic is way too soft to play in the NBA without a 12 foot jump shot.

If he has to bang it inside to score everytime, he won't last the whole 80 games.

How do you know? Does he have a history of injury? He weighs more now. No disagreeing with you, but that is not really something you can just throw out without reason

No doubt his skill set intrigues me a bit. BUT, honestly I don't want Corbin to have ANY options other than to play Canter and Favors 35 mins a game. I truly fear if he has ANY other options he will play them too much.

Thanks man! He is an awesome little guy. He is healthy, happy, and making me change his diaper like every 3 hours, day or night. Tiring little guy. He does love watching the Pacers beat LeBron though... and I have yet to play Darth Vader/I AM YOUR FATHER!
