If Enes Kanter And Derrick Favors were in this draft.

Would Kanter/Favors be #1 this draft?

On the last tip off Locke predicts that they would both be the #1 pick this draft. Agree/disagree? I realize it is all speculation but speculation is all we can do as fans for pretty much everything anyway.

Favors would go #1 and Enes #2.

I meant if Kanter would be in this draft (without derrick) he would go #1 overall.
If Derrick would be in this draft (without Enes) he would go #1 overall.
If both would have been in this draft (by themselves, not with each other) they would both go #1.
Or neither of them would go #1.

Clearly the question is assuming they get drafted into separate instances of this year's draft, as that's the only way option 3 makes any sense.

Knowing what we know now, yeah probably. But based on what we knew then, I think you'd have to put Noel, McLemore and Len in the discussion. Favors goes top 3 in all circumstances, and Kanter goes top 5 in all circumstances. This is assuming, of course, that both Favors and Kanter are in the same draft.

Gotcha, I would say it's about a 99.9999% chance that Favors would go #1 in this draft. Kanter would have a good chance, but his lack of any college ball may prevent it.

Favors no question would go first, Kanter was an unknown coming into his draft in a weak draft. I don't think he'd go first.

Kanter would go #1.

Kentucky would have actually made the tournament and kanter would have been showcased. Meanwhile G-tech would have been... Well G-tech.

Even when he was clearly the only NBA prospect on that team they ignored him.

You are using too much imagination. This isn't the imagination station.

It was a little confusing as there can't be two #1's. But I do think if either were in the draft without the other, he'd go #1. And if both were in this year's draft, Favors would be #1 and Kanter #2. Here we are, just a couple of weeks away and we've heard reports both Cleveland and Orlando have been shopping their picks. I think that illustrates neither team sees a sure-fire franchise player available, even with one of the top two picks. As for the #1 pick, I guess Noel is listed at the top on most boards. Would he even be top-5 in most drafts? Everyone else is all over the place on the mocks I've seen. There are clearly no PG's rated as highly as Wall or Irving. So I guess the next question would be are there players regarded as highly as Derrick Williams or Evan Turner, the players taken at #2 before Favors and Kanter? If so, I guess I'm just not hearing it.

Oladipo is winning some people over, but I wouldn't have thought of him as a #1 type.

Noel is an exciting athlete and potential DPOY, so that ought to make him top-5 in a normal year. It's the injury that's dragging his stock down.

I think Favors would easily go #1. Kanter could too, but if in this scenario he misses the year at Kentucky that could be enough to push him down to 2 or 3, much like his original draft year.

Had Kanter played a full year at Kentucky who knows. Favors wasn't amazing at GT. He was drafted more on potential, and athleticism.

Kanter would have killed it at UK. Watching the practices and how he had already gelled with Brandon Knight, Doron Lamb, Terrence Jones, etc., and all that outside shooting had the makings of a killer year for him. UK would have won the Championship that year (rather than losing in the Final Four) and the Jazz would have missed out on him.
