Wait, so yeah, I know its 'chique' to diss on Corbin, there's no point in me fighting that but to imply that Lowe (the tax evader) is better than Corbin just makes the whole argument null.
Well who's worse? The tax evader or the guy who hires the tax evader.

Have you seen Lowe's record? As much as I dislike Ty as a head coach, I'd have to say Lowe is one guy I would absolutely not consider for the job, even on an interim basis...unless, of course, the plan were to just tank the rest of the year.

But yes, they are. I believe Jones is married to Sloan's niece or something like that. I can't find a link mentioning the specifics but I remember it has been mentioned in articles.

I think this is a good hire. He has head coaching experience in both the DLeague and at the small college level and he's won at both places. Plus if Ty lames up out of the starting gate, Jones or Sloan can assumed command.

Yes, despite the familial ties to Sloan, Jones has EARNED a spot. He has been successful in the D-League, ran the FA clinic in SA and then with Utah this year. He has put in the work and really deserves a seat on the bench.

Yes Brad Jones is married to Jerry Sloan's cousin (or possibly niece) I remember reading this when he was first named the Flash HC. Also yes he has earned this on his own merits. As well as what has already been said with his involvement with SA and UT combined with his college experience (player and coach) seems like a good foundation to me, and even if it is just a asst coach position I don't think it can hurt to surround a HC with good people (ie Sloan) and assistants (ie Brad Jones).
Also I know for a fact Corbin knew Lowe was cheating on his taxes before he was hired and that was the sole reason he hired him and had nothing to do with a new HC looking for someone that had HC experience that he thought he could trust. It's not like Pop hired a ex HC that had been fired a few times and was once choked by his star player, although if he did it was probably just so he could say "don't make Pop choke a bitch".
For the record since last year I was thinking Lowe would be the coach I'd want to leave the most and replace him with a defensive coach. That doesn't mean that I didn't understand why Lowe was chosen like I said a first time HC bringing in someone he believes he can trust and has previous HC experience and it wouldn't be the first time a coach makes a better assistant coach then a HC (in regards to his Lowes HC record).
