Where is the room for all these vet FA?
PG -
SG - Hayward, Burk, Murphy
SF - Williams, Neal
Pf - Favors, Evans
C - Kanter
Plus three draft picks = 11 players.
So, they need 1-3 players. I'd be surprised if DMC, and Tinsley aren't back. That's 13 players.
Also, other than Al, what FA is good enough to drastically change this team that would sign with us?
So, unless Al is back, we won't be very good.

Yeah, nice analysis.
Jazz need another 36 minutes at the PF-C spot. Williams is injured, and needs to be replaced anyway. Point guard, probably two until a rook can prove worthy of 15 minutes/game. Plenty of room to fill the roster, and even more to fill the talent gap.
Regardless, are you going to blow your cap if he brings in long term vets?
I think with the Spurs model, you don't bring in long term vets.QUOTE]
Stop worshiping luck and happenstance like it's the only model to emulate. If you do then you're going to end up the same way every other team trying to play catch up copycat has.
The Spurs were contenders forever just like the Jazz. Then Admiral went down and they struck draft lightening in Tim Duncan, who came out of the gate swinging, unlike most rooks.
If your whole goal is to Spurs "model" then you're more likely to end up like Clippers or Bobcats or Golden State. There's way too much luck involved to place the hopes of your dedicated fanbase on hitting double zero green, then disappointing.
Just my humble opinion.

I think the Jazz draft a big at #14, a pg at #21 and anything at #47. So, we look like this:
#21 pick
Hayward, Burks, Murphy or #47 pick
Williams, Neal
Favors, Evans
Kanter, #14 pick
Now, if they resign Tinsley and Foye (I think they do this is they dont take a SG at #47 and cut Murphy) and DMC we now have:
#21 pick, Tinsley, #47
Foye, Burks, Neal
Hayward, DMC, Williams
Favors, Evans
Kanter, #14
There is 13 players, and I think they still need another big. Anyways, that team still SUCKS.
Like I said, the only way we have a shot at the playoffs next year is if they bring Al back.
Please don't bring Al back.
I probably missed it but who is that?
