Sports Illustrated - Draft - Quotes regarding each prospect

I especially liked this one:

Shane Larkin, 6-foot point guard, Miami: "Stud athlete, stud kid. His size is never going to change, so the question is whether your coach can live with that. He had a 44-inch vertical at the combine. He's gonna be pretty damn good, man. If you have talented pieces around him, he's going to be really good because he likes to get others involved. He's an off-the-charts kid. He is truly about the team."

Jazz do have talented pieces to put around him.

Just re-affirms my love for Larkin. Even at #14. All of these guys have major flaws may as well get a winner with a killer instinct!

If you didn't know anything about the draft and just read those scout's comments you would guess Larkin would be going top 3.

My favorite quote from this story: Allen Crabbe, 6-6 guard, California: "He can really shoot. Smarter player than he's probably gotten credit for. Strength and mental toughness is a little bit of a concern. He has been disappointing in workouts. He looks great as long as he doesn't have to compete."

Reggie Bullock, 6-7 guard, North Carolina: "He can really stroke it.

"Shabazz Muhammad, 6-6 forward, UCLA: "He takes a lot of criticism for a guy who scored 18 a game as a freshman in the Pac-12. He was very forthright in his interview, didn't shy away from answering any questions. He had 27 assists for the whole year. When I saw that, I thought it was a misprint. What I want to know is, for a guy who is known to work out hard and train, and he has supposedly been trained by some of the best trainers on the west coast, why the hell doesn't he have a right hand? I think he's gonna slide, I really do."

Together with the Chad Ford Super Secret Don't Tell your Mom Club report that had him falling to 22 this was not a good day for teh Shabazz camp.

Jazz at 21.

As long as he doesn't need to compete he is in great shape. There won't be much of a need to compete in the NBA.

I never like Crabbe, he takes some crazy shots in the game I've seen him play. Bazz dropping to 22 even I would take him at 21 and I am not that big of a fan.
