Rank the 5

Kanter
Burke
Favors/Hayward split

I like the Kanter/Alonzo comparison.

1. Kanter
2 Burke
3 Favors
4 Hayward
5 Burks

Because this is a prediction based on what we know today (lots about favors compared to Burke...)

Favors drops because he hasn't done it yet; I think he's had enough time to show better, if he just had "it."
Kanter has shown enough offense and touch to 'prove' to me he'll be very good offensively (unlike Favors)
Burke has all the elements to be in the "best PG in NBA" discussion
Hayward's improvement curve is going to flatten out - he'll still be very good for a long time
Burks has great physical skills, but i'm least convinced of him becoming valuable.

Also I'm not too worried about this happening because unlike you, I have faith in favors and believe he will have a very good year

This.

I blame the lack of playing time as the reason for the so called lack of improvment of Favors. This guy was never even given a chance to take the reins. Never did he even have a chance to find any kind of rhythm or confidence because was never going to take Al's or Paul's job no matter what he did. We had a scared coach being advised by an idiotic management staff.

You don't get better by watching. You get better by playing. Thats just some b.s. the Jazz made up.

Favors will be bad *** this year because he will be able to play and find his stride, and everyone will claim he has made great improvement, when the truth is he was ready to play last year. Same with Burks too.

I think Kanter showed better offense skill set in his second year and in less minutes than Favors. So it is not just playing time that tells the story (or the singularly lacking element). I think it means he does not have the natural hand-eye coordination. His offensive game will either be limited or brute force learned. There is the possibility that has been the ultra athletic big guy and thus he's never had a reason to develop this element of his game. (I'm hoping so...) The opposite is Ryan Anderson for example who honed his game as a guard (shooter) and then supposedly had a growth spurt and so he still plays like a guard even though he looks like a big man on paper. But it is possible DF is more like Tyson chandler who doesn't have breadth of an offensive arsenal.

And additionally, there are lots of players that are originally defined as bad shooters, who with time at the NBA level (can practice 16hrs a day enabled by lots of minions/handlers to tend to every day life stuff) who turn into good shooters. But there are those who don't improve much either...

BTW how does Millsaps improvement trajectory compare with favors so far? Sap was not expected to be and didn't show signs immediately the offensive arsenal he has now.

I think that having a natural point guard who excels at the PnR is going to be the best thing for Favors.

"True fan" lol.
this coming from the guy who has so much wonderful things to say about our young players

Kanter: kwame kanter (comparing him to kwame brown obviously)
Burks: Many times has stated that "burks sucks"
Hayward: calls him dick haywad and says he has herpes
Favors: Says favors basically cant do much of anything.

That's a gross mischaracterization of anything I've ever written. But you seem to get off on doing just that, as pretty much all your Jazz forum posts are a distortion of what I've said.

This This This

Look at the garbage at the point spot Favors has been dealing with since he got here. The only resemblance of a PnR Favors ever saw was the occassional PnR with Hayward or Burks. Instead we tried to turn him into Alfense. Thats not who he is. He needs to use his athleticsm to his advantage.

God, I can't wait til Al ball is over for good. Watching some pick and rolls again is going to be a sight for sore eyes.

Uhh, how was I hating on Hayward when I said he will be a perennial 6th man of the year candidate?

Or when I was the first to start comparing Favors to Chandler, and everyone here and in the local media started jumping on my bandwagon?

You're obsessed.

Never said those were the only things you said..... but you still said em.
You have said lots of stuff, you have over 8000 posts.... I just pointed out a few of em from the "real fan".... Just trying to knock you off your high horse a little so maybe you can come down and hang with all of us fake fans bro

Rose colored glasses off... Honestly let's think about who Favors played along side with. Alfense for most of this last year. Kanter? Played with Millsap. Now with that said who had more time against quality bigs and who has more time against 2nd string bigs. Kanter is my favorite player. But I'm not going to start pretending that he's better than Favors until he too proves his worth against quality opponents day in and day out. I saw more consistency out of Favors this year than I did Kanter. There were many times Kanter looked lost and flat footed. And there were many times Favors did as well. So IMHO we have to wait and see how both perform. But I won't say one over the other because one is my favorite player but the other I feel is the cornerstone of this franchise.

You've cherry picked trolling me for months to "knock [me] off [my] high horse"? Okay, bro. Please go on humbling me.
