No need for true backup PF, just use Carroll or Evans there when needed.

Then we can call it an off-season.

Well there goes my theory. I'm guessing we will only re-sign Tinsley then. Carroll would make 15 which would hurt our flexibility at trade deadline.

Will be sad to see Carroll go if he does.

No reason to keep Carroll if we have Jefferson, Rush, Hayward, Burks & Marvin.

Only thing we need to do now is sign a veteran point guard. I am hoping it is better than Tinsely though. Darren Collison would be nice.

Yeah, but Carroll is such a good player to have.

We know Jefferson and Marvin are definitely not in the team's future past this upcoming year.

We don't have to worry about the cap for them. We could sign a mid level FA and sign Tinley to Minimum contract and Carroll to one of our cap exceptions.

I think Carroll is over rated by the fans. He shoots 29% from the 3. Gambles too much on defense. And can't dribble really.

Everyone just likes him because he hustles and guys with dreads make it seem like they are hustling even more with everything shaking on their head.

He turns 27 later this month. He won't get off the bench if we sign him. So we waste a year with him than he gets to play next year at age 28??? but still has the same flaws?

No thanks he isn't really apart of our future either. Unless he accepts 1 Million a year than I guess, But I find it a waste of money.

Rather have the flexibility to make trades happen.
 
Hayward, Burks and Rush will take up the majority of the wing minutes. Not much left over. Richard Jefferson can easily take up those minutes. He is still a decent defender and a 3 point shooter. so I don't see the point in having Carroll.

Done told you all Carroll was gone after the Trey Burke number 3 jersey debacle.
 
How about Jarret Jack? I mean I know that's a ton of GSW players, but I'd like him as a veteran PG.

To make the trade with the W's, the Jazz have to renounce their exceptions (in order to claim the cap space). The Jazz don't have the MLE to use.
