How many of you think with Malone helping Favors he can average 17.1 to 22.9 points, 12.4 to 14.5 rebounds, 1-2 assists, 2.1 to 2.4 blocks and 1 to 2 steals per game for one season during the next 5 years? Now you cannot change your answer after you answer that question……………….. read below:

Do you know who else has put up those kinds of stats during the last 5 seasons?

Dwight Howard. That's the entire list.

So do you think we might have a Dwight Howard in the making on our team, without the super ego? Also Dwight was 25 to 27 years old during his 3 seasons, when he produced those figures. Derrick Favors will be 22 on July 15, 2013, so he still has 3 to 5 years to get to this level. By the way happy birthday Derrick!
Do you know what other players achieved those stats during the last 10 seasons?

DwightHoward, Kevin Garnett, and Elton Brand. And just five total seasons betweenthem all out of 10 years. Look at the list yourself.

I found this information on another site and just tweaked it some. Ok now being honest how many of you said yes to the original question? Tell us your honest answer and why you think Favors may be able to get onto this elite list in the next 3 to 5 years.

I think it'll be hard for him to do it while playing along side Kanter. Especially the 12+ rebounds per game. If he was the only dominant big on the team, then yes, I think he could put up those numbers at some point.

I don't see Favors averaging 22+ points, but I do think he can be better than Howard. For one, he shoots FT's better than Howard.
Also funny how Howard's FT % declines over the years.

Favors will never average more than 20 PPG here in Utah-- and it's fine, because that's not what we need him for. Let him expend his efforts on being an elite 2way big a la Joakim Noah. Kanter, Hayward, Burks can focus on the scoring

I love how Dwight has one semi bad year (not even terrible, just not defensive player of the year + first team all NBA + runner up MVP) right after a surgery and all of a sudden we judge his future on the one year. Even superstars can have off years due to recovery from injury.

He gets 10 already dude....

I know some li,e to fancy Kanter being our best big, but I think favors will surprise. I think he is a 18 and 10 guys and dpoy candidate every year.

With a good point guard (and hopefully Trey can become that for us) I think 17/10/3 is pretty reasonable. That, plus good defense, is all-star production IMO.

I see Favors as more of a 14-16 ppg kind of guy while grabbing 8-10 boards with two blocks while playing good defense. I think he'll be great. I also think he'll be better than Dwight in much the same way that Manu was better than McGrady.

If he only gets 8 rebounds a game while playing 30 MPG I'll be disappointed. He should get more than that.

I think we'll see Kantor be more productive offensively when Favors rests than vice versa. Though i don't think either one is ready to be the go to guy on their own. They will probably play very well together and struggle a little on their own.

Next year i'd say 18 points,11rebs, 2.5 blocks 1 steal. Kanter 22-10-1-1. Hayward 17-6-1-2. Alec 14-5-1-2. Trey 15-3-.5-2 and 6.5 assists

Favors is going to be Amare like offensively.

I think a lot of you are underestimating Malone here. Really. He's even keeping DF top secret.

Favors will be the best man on the court next year, book it.

I've said on this board many times that I think Favors is the better big. Don't think we will see the consistent offense to get 18 a game playing alongside Kanter, then there is Hayward, Burke, Burks, and Rush. Scoring won't be Favors role on the team. I did say there was a chance he could get to 15 a game.

Sure hope your right..............................I am excited about what Malone might get done with Favors.
