What's new

Top 5 favorite Utah restuarants.

There's a chinese place called Red Maple - it used to be on Redwood, but now it's on 47th south. Good stuff, Maynard.

Javiers, oh yeah. Ever go to the one right next to the dog food plant?

I used to work in Ogden and that was a regular lunch spot, and then it became our weekly Saturday night dinner spot. They opened a restaurant in Layton so we no longer have to make the Ogden drive.

My wife and I went to Goodwoods in Orem on her birthday. I really liked it, but she thought it was meh. The chocolate cake they gave us still makes my mouth water.

I put Tiburon #1 on my list. This is a place that most people don't know about or they simply drive by it and would never know it's one of the best restaurants in the state. It's in Sandy on 700 E and about 8300 S. Dinky little restaurant, but great ambiance and even better food. Entrees run about $40, so it's a bit pricy, but take your significant other there for a special occasion and you won't regret it. My wife and I usually go there once a year for our anniversary. Oh, and if you do go, I highly recommend the New Zealand Elk.
My wife really likes that place and we've been on our anniversary twice, I believe. We sat near Jerry Sloan once.

Have you tried Bangkok Grill in Orem (just off of State St on 8th South). Even a little better than Thai Evergreen in my opinion.

I do like that one as well I lean towards thai evergreen but they are both good to me.

Adding to my list of places I love that I somehow forgot.

The best quick mexican food that has a drive in is El Azteca (the one in Provo not as much the Orem one)

All the breweries in town especially Wasatch in Park City and Squatters.

Lots of my friends swear Stone Ground in Salt Lake is the best place but I have never eaten there, anyone like/dislike this place?

Can't really say I have a top 5...but here's some sort of a list. I've always wanted to organize these...

Best Italian:Stoneground
Best Chinese: Little World (ehh, the problem with this place is MSG though. I need a new chinese place)
Best Tibetan..?: Shambrala
Best Indian: Aroma (there's another place in Sandy that's better but I can't remember the name)
Best Burger:Three Forks Cafe
Best Pho: Green Papaya
Best Pizza: The Pie
Best Sushi: Benihana (Get the 2 for $26 deal)
Best mid-budget chain: Smash Burger (Chicken and veggie only though, don't think the beef is as good)
Runners up:Habit Burger, Cafe Rio
Best late late night: Denny's (need a better place though, ****ing hate IHOP, Vilage Inn, and Dee's)

EDIT: Best Thai: Thai Siam

You want great Chinese? Try Szechwan Express on 5400 S. 3200 W. in Taylorsville. It is in a strip mall of all places but it is the best, freshest Chinese food ever. Their Kung Pow Chicken and Chicken in Orange Sauce is amazing!!

Tiburon is cool but the food is too eccentric for my tastes. I do like the fake accents the waiters try to pull off though. Good stuff.

Off the top of my head I'd say Brick Oven, Pie, Training Table.

Corbins up in Layton prolly the best. Oh and there's a place in Park City (Prime Restaurant?).
