For those of you doubting Gordon Hayward...

I found this article about Hayward's future interesting. I think it's funny that we view Paul George and kawhi Leonard as the next big thing, but Hayward is viewed as fatally flawed so many times. Per 36 he is as good or better than either George or Leonard, and on defense he is stifling. He holds opposing wings to below average PER on a regular basis, and usually guards the other teams best wing.

He will have a season this year that will probably be statistically better than paul George was last year, but will probably not get that much attention still.

Anyway, I thought the article was a good read, and I am stoked to see Hayward become an all star!

I haven't seen many here down on Hayward.
Only negative thing I've said (if you could even call it that) is he's not a natural alpha leader.
I think most here love Gordon.

stats are what nerds look at who don't play the game. Trying to say he is even to paul George is laughable... Just watch paul George play and then watch Gordon play ... Gordon on most teams is a 6th man and paul is a flat out stud.,Laughable trying to compare them. This place cracks me up sometime. Bet if the pacers were dum enough to trade George for Gordon that the jazz front office would do it in a heartbeat.

You ball, bro?

George is a better defender and rebounder, but Hayward excels at everything else above George.

Hayward is a better passer, handler and facilitator than George. I think that's what he was drafted to be. The Jazz's team concept is based on playing off of bigs in the post. George is the better scorer at this point.

How can they see the 2014 class and still call Leonard and George the future? Not that I dislike their game. They're really talented. But I believe there is a big gap between their ceilings and that class.

AFAIK, nobody here thinks Hayward is a scrub or bust, he's a good player. I just think some of the Hayward fanboys go a little overboard with the Larry Bird comparisons, the 24 ppg predictions, all-star/superstar predictions and comparisons to our Heavenly Father... That's all.
