Jazzfanz BAWSE Fantasy Draft - Round 1: Hack vs LogGrad98

Who would win in a 7 game series?

In their primes my I have 7 20 pt per game scorers, all 5 of my starting lineup, including 3 in my starting lineup that averaged 20/11 double doubles for entire seasons, and 2 of them 20/11 double doubles for their CAREERS.

Robinsons best season was 29 ppg/10.7 rebs/4.8 assists/3.3 blocks/1.7 steals people forget how truly dominating he was in his prime. Maybe 3 centers better in their careers.

Drexler's best season was 27.2 ppg/7.9 rebs/5.8 assists/2.7 steals. 27 8 and 6 are all-world numbers my friends.

Paul's best season was 22.8 ppg/5.5 rebs/11.0 assists/2.8 steals. Leading the league in both steals and assists while still scoring over 20 per game? Sick.

Hornacek's best season was arguably 19.1 ppg/4.3 rebs/6.9 assists/1.7 steals. Might be the season before that with 20 ppg/5 rebs/5 assists and 52% from the field and 44% from 3. Boom. Perfect complementary player.

Tim Duncan might have the most underwhelming stats of the group, other than 2 regular season MVPs and 3 finals MVPS. His best season stats were 23.5 ppg/12.3 rebs/4.3 assists/3.7 blocks.

Holy crap. Hack's team gonna get swatted 7 time just from the starters.

Not sure how anyone can think hack's starting line is definitively better. The numbers and accolades (hello, 7 rings just with my starters) PROVE otherwise. I can't see it.

Dude.

Do you know what my players averaged in their prime? You shouldn't have even brought it up. I kill you in that category. Hell, one of my backups averaged more ppg in their prime than anyone one of your starters.

Ill post in a few.

Good points. Keep in mind they did it being the central focus of their teams. Most of my guys had numbers just as good their best years, but many of them did it within a team framework that won championships. McGrady, Carter and Stoudemire all disrupted the teams they had their best seasons with. Hell McGrady couldn't get out of the first round of the playoffs mainly due to his chucker attitude. He tried to take the game over. They just won't play together and don't understand what it takes to win it all.

On my team in one game Duncan will play the enforcer while Drexler and Worthy go to town from the wings. Or Robinson will dominate the glass and paint while Paul and Billups orchestrate a very potent offense. None of them HAVE to be the hero every night, but most of them absolutely CAN be the hero when it's needed. That my friend is not just dangerous, it is deadly.

This post is laughable.

You are comparing my backups to your starters. Is it because deep down you know my bench could beat your starters.

Why even compare the two. Is it just misdirection or what?

You do realize that I had already voted for you right? I just think the notion that Hacks bench sucks is foolish.

I know, just taking every opportunity to pimp my team. :)

So you concede the point, just dispute the comparison. Fine compare it to my bench. With Billups running the show, Worthy and Kemp driving the offence, Bowen sticking like glue to whatever wing you choose to put against him and raining 3's when he is inevitably left open to double down on Worthy or Kemp, and the Chief clogging the middle, the inevitable breakdown of McLady and Carter will be even more spectacular. So what this means is that my bench far outweighs yours. Works for me.

I'm not voting this but if I did I'd probably have to go Hack.

His starting 4-5 w/ bench is sick, and Tony Parker is a p&r assassin who would feed Malone just as Stockton did. Ewing and Malone guard the front line in a way Malone-Spencer never could.

This one was really tough though. I could have gone either way.

Loggy has more floor leadership at the PG, which matters when there's that much firepower on the floor at every other position.
I also think that virtually everyone on Hack's bench may lack mental toughness, and all but D12 have defensive limitations.
Hack has more fire power at the SG spot, with Miller and Carter, but I agree that Bowen can take on either as a defensive assignment.
I also think that despite Hack's scoring prowess on the wings, I don't see enough defense out of Durant, TMac or VC to slow Drexler's drives and post-ups.

I hate to vote against Karl Malone, but Duncan and Drexler are the difference at the end of the day. They're clutch. They're champions. Whereas, only TP has a ring for the Hacksters.

I give the nod to LogGrad.

:tears:

I hate how these contests rip us all apart.

Your're the one who voted for the wrong team.

Out of all of them I've been thru this is the most even. Went with Hack for the SG position, but even then it's not by much.

From Gyp.

Log > Hack

The latter has the biggest collection of losers who will chuck, choke and fight
amongst themselves.
