Poll: BYU Football 2013 edition goes...

What will BYU's record be at the end of the season?

I think the poll should be changed to "when does Bronco get fired?"

My guess is at 1-4 after they lose Utah St.

Defense still looks good, only gave up scoring drives of 16 and 13 yards. O-line is 100x worse than even the media has let on. Feelin' confident in my 6-6 prediction.

Hoffman plays...... byu wins that game by the way.

No hoffman was a humongous missing piece

Your argument assumes something - that Taysom could magically somehow get the ball to him simply because he was in the game.

Given his throwing issues, I'm not sure that's the case.

I'm confident that hoffman would have had a big enough impact that they win the game.

Its not saying much though as I don't think virginia is very good.
And tayson hill still looked very innaccurate and the play calling pretty crappy.

Also, weather was as bad as it gets.... there was like a 3 hour delay..... and to me the biggest play of the game was when byu punted and virginia was going to have the ball on thier own 20 or something.
But there was a penalty saying that unga was lined up in the backfield and byu would have to re-do the punt.
They didn't show a replay of the penalty so I rewound it to see it for my self.
He was not lined up in the backfield and on the re-do punt he was in the same damn spot on the line and no penalty was called.

Punter miss-handles the snap (due to a wet *** ball) and the punt is blocked and virginia takes over deep in the red zone.

One of the worst thing about being independent is that in every game the refs are from the opponents conference

Sure these ar excuses and they don't matter, but they are also facts.

LMAO why is byu always so obsessed with "never evar losing a game again!" It's like if they just say they won't ever lose again it makes it ok that they just lost.

£¥£ Retiring at 20,000 £¥£

Just retarded.... obviously they are going to lose again this season.
Probably starting next saturday.
I figure best case scenario they lose 3 more games.
Most likely they will lose 4 or 5 more.

OK, I can't account for the refs, so I won't comment on that.

But why oh why do you keep talking about the weather? Are you implying that Virginia didn't have to put up with the same exact weather, therefore it was an unfair advantage to Virginia?
I just don't get it. Why are you talking about something that affected both teams?

I'm not saying the weather affected byu more or less than virginia.
Just saying it changed the game, made it a little crazier and brought more chance into the equation.

Look at it like this.
Lets say utah is playing oregon.
Now oregon would be big favorites and everyone would give the utes no chance.

Now it rains like crazy on gameday and there is a huge delay the combinatnion of which causes more chaos.

Now oregon would still be favored but utah could hope that oregon would play sloppy and maybe lose some fumbled and have some bad snaps ect.

Meanwhile maybe the utes luckily don't have those same type of issues

Here is main point.
That type of wild weather can even the playing field a little.... not a ton but a little.

I think ute fans would much rather play oregon in a monsoon than a dome with perfect conditions.

I believe that if byu played virginia next week with hoffman in the lineup and perfect weather that they would win... I understand if you disagree with that.

Byu did gain a lot more yards than virginia but all the unusual crazy plays caused in part by weather happened to go virginias way.

And yes byus offense sucked but thier offense and defense both playedbetter statiscally than virginia

Pointing out a missed call is a slippery slope. How about the missed call on BYU's first TD drive? The big play on that drive came as Hill released a pass as he crossed the line of scrimmage. I rewound it several times and it was most certainly an illegal forward pass. More times than not, those missed calls work both ways.

That O-line is bad. Real bad. Losing to Virginia is a huge red flag. That is not a good football team. Texas is going to roll in Provo.
