Jazz Interested in Alexis Ajinca?

Like him as a 4th big off the bench he's still young long... Though not as long as Gobert, but a lot quicker and athletic, and a decent defender. I'd rather watch him then Biedrens. I wouldn't mind him, though I'm surprised he never really made it.

But don't we already have 5 bigs ATM? Why do we need another???

Did I stutter? He isn't a sf can't can't play a lot of minutes at the 4 because he'd get killed in the post. He will never be more then he is now. I figure he still hasn't developed sf skills or gained wait, he never will

He's probably as skilled/more skilled than Alexis Ajinca...

Sadly he really isn't.

Good thing I know you're wrong on this. Or else I'd be really upset.

I'm not saying he'll be a great, or even good player. But he's not MUCH worse than a lot of team's backup SF/PF's. There's a lot of bad/average players out there.

You are retarded Thee.

Jeremy Evans is bad *** and will prove you wrong this year. He'll probably ruin the tank in the process because he is so good.

We had scouts at a EuroBasket game? This is earth shattering news.
.
Meanwhile, Ajinca has played very well in the tournament. Including 25 pts, 5 rbs, and 3 blks yesterday against Latvia.

Jazzfanz is getting dumb and dumberer every day.

So, five bigs might not mean Evans, how about Marvin? He has and can spend a lot of time at the 4, so with Evans that makes six. The only thing is if this new french guy pans out he is long term, whereas maybe Marvin and Biedrins are not.

Jeremy Evans is actually a good player. What he lacks is consistent intensity. We've all seen the highlights of when he attacks on offense and/or defense. He can make a big impact very quickly.

Also, it's hard to pigeonhole him into a traditional position. I think it'd be smarter to play him to his strengths and play him with other players that would compliment him and vice versa. For example, a very fast and quick defensive lineup, and a nice fastbreak lineup, would work out great with him. Jeremy is actually a pretty good passer and offensive spacer. He rotates well and sets decent screens. If he can just increase his intensity on both sides then again, I think he can make a consistent impact.

Shouldn't stop until we have at least 8 or 10 bigs. The bigger the better, that's what she said.

I always find these discussions amusing. Someone argues about why we should/shouldn't beef up a spot that will average 6 minutes or less in roughly half the games in a season where winning and losing is largely irrelevant. You could have Evans, this guy, Earl Boykins, or Harlan Sanders -- hell, you could even go four on five -- and it wouldn't make any appreciable difference on the outcome of any quarter, game or season. It's like arguing over which color to paint the floorboard that you're going to lay carpet over.
