Looks like Rush is ready to go

Bad news for Burks.
...
From what Lindsey has said, his impression, or the information he wants the public to have, is that Rush won't be ready for a while. I'm fine with Rush sitting to allow Burks to get a LOT of minutes/development / feed the tank via lack of bench.

If he is just cleared for full contact now, he will be at least a month into the season before he could handle big minutes. By that time we will see if he needs to play them or not. If he does start, I suspect he will be the first subbed out and get a pretty long break. With the injury to Williams, there are still secondary minutes to be snapped up at SF, so more playing time for Rush doesn't necessarily mean less for Burkes.

Latest on Marv is he could be ready by opening night.
Who is Burkes?

Ok but who is better, Burks or Rush? I am seriously skeptical that Burks is any better than a healthy Rush.

If the FO are not planning on making pickles out of this guys or something, they should play them no matter what.

I hope they give Rush a shot at starting. Burks need to be pushed and if he doesn't earn the spot he should come off the bench. He can still get plenty of minutes as a back up on this roster.

Rush is a far better option to start giving his floor spacing ability. Burks is just perfect as a no. 1 option on the second unit given his game.
