I'm shocked that "Mr. Inconsistent" himself, Gordon Hayward, is the overwhelming choice to be the most consistent player on the team. I chose Kanter. I think with steady playing time, we'll see a double double from him every night...

With Al and Sap gone, things will be different for Hayward

Brickins will be the most consistent player this season. He'll be ****ty every game.

Hayward will be. Kanter will have some great nights and some not so great nights. As the season progresses itll start to even out.

Correct. There's a greater likelihood that defenses will Target him with greater intensity.

That's fine. Hayward is a smart player, and will take what the defense gives him.

Without realizing it, you're proving my point...So if the defense gives him nothing on one night, his numbers will be low, if they don't guard him at all the next night he'll put up big numbers. That is why he's not consistent. Consistent players will get their points/reb/etc no matter what the defense does. Did Stockton's assist numbers fluctuate whether Gary Payton or a fat Mark Jackson was guarding him? Nope, he'd get his 14 assists a game no matter what...

Hayward will only need to change his style of play. If he is double teamed he will find a big down low. He is good enough passer to do so. If he is guarded close-up. He can take it to the rim. He is also a 3pt threat so opposition can't sag off him. While Hayward wasn't inconsistent up till now, he is the most experienced player of the core right now.

This is basically what I meant. Hayward can hurt a team in a variety of ways.

Thing about Hayward this year is that with Al and Millsap gone his true progression can begin. It couldn't have been easy for him to put up the numbers he did in his limited role he was in trying to play off Al and Millsap.

Fair enough. To me, this is a make or break season for Hayward. If he doesn't breakout into an all-star caliber player this season. It simply will never happen. No sense for the Jazz to blow a max deal on him, it will just be a repeat of the Kirilenko mistake. After watching him for 3 season, the eyeball test tells me Hayward has already reached or is very close to his "ceiling", will gladly eat crow if I'm wrong..

Hayward isn't an iso slasher. He says he's been working on his floaters and ****, but we haven't seen enough to have full confidence in the well-rounded game you just described. Dude needs a pick.

I think Kanter is going to be the most consistent..... a double double machine who stays on the court due to his conditioning and smart play on the defensive end.

I believe burks will be the most dynamic (if he gets minutes), but will have his ups and downs.... I could see him having a couple of 30 pt games though.
This but sub burks for hayward.

Agree...We all know Hayward is good shooter when his feet is set at the 3 point line. We know he can hit a jumper curling off a screen. But is he reliable when having to create his own shot, one-on-one? I don't think so. For him to be the superstar that some here are predicting, he needs to develop a) a floater, b) some type of crossover/pull-up jumper move, c) some type of post up moves to take advantage of smaller players often guarding him. If he could develop two out of those three things, he will be deadly. We'll see this season if he added anything to his game.

This isn't a make or break year. Thanks to the coach and the system due in large part to Al and Millsap Hayward hasn't had a chance to really carry the team or be its leader. You can't just expect Hayward to come in the very first year and be perfect this year at leading the team he will grow and get better as the year goes on working with Favors and Kanter.

Did he really say he was working on his floaters? Would be awesome if he could hit those. How did I miss that?

Sounds like something Trout would say he was working on..

Deciding if I should like, +rep, or neg this thing. I laughed and puked at the same time.

I think I'll just post this and walk away... far and fast.
