GAME 1(!): Your UTAH JAZZ hosting OKLAHOBOS -- Wednesday Oct30 7pm MST -- ROOT Sports

I like the Jazz's interior defense with Katner, Favors and Gobert. The paint was crowded all night long. The Jazz would really benefit from having a shooter like Rush on the floor.

Hot damn! So close. Go Jazz!!! Fantastic game. Thrilled and F the haters!!!

Can I blame (or thank?) the loss on JL3 for airballing a three at the end of the first half which let Sefolosha drain a three at the buzzer?

10 seconds left.. Jazz down 3 points.. Genius Corbin goes for a quick 2 and sends KD to FT.
no timeout, Hayward fires near mid-court and misses obv. OKC wins

It'll be a lot funner when Burke gets back too. Even if he sucks, it doesn't matter, because it'll be net the same as what we got going now

Yeah I want to see him back on the floor but he still is a rook that has been struggling. In a way I think this injury might have been a good thing for him. Nobody can blame these early losses on him.

Honestly, this was a good game. We had loads of rookie mistake (turnovers, offensive interference, lost assignments on rebounds), a VERY cold Hayward (who's supposed to be our best player) and unbelievable foul calls.

Im proud with this team's effort. Mainly, I am unbelievably stoked with Alec's performance. Id trade a performance like that with a win any-day. Hopefully he continues to progress.

I know he's a bit of a villain on jazzfanz, but marvin williams could look a lot better on this team.

Kanter played a great 3rd Quarter, just to get 2 minutes in the 4th. Also we are using Kanter as 4th option on this team, but he is the most efficient scorer.

Corbin, Corbin, Corbin....

Wonder what our +/- was during that little Burks bench spell from 6min - 3min in 4th and if it was more than the 3 we lost the game by

I know that this is not going to be a popular opinion but isn't this the perfect game for the Jazz this year?

Favors looked great.
Kanter looked great.
Burks exceeded anything that he has done at any point in his NBA career.
Hayward was in foul trouble but still played a decent game.
Gobert showed that he can go up against physical players and still be a presence on the floor.
The Jazz had a chance to tie the game at the end.....................but still lost?

Does it get much better than that?

And we can still blame Corbin's substitutions for the loss! Nope, it doesn't get any better.

Definitely agree with the camel. This is the popular opinion.

If every game we had this year went like this, I wouldn't even be mad.

You know what I loved about this game?

We came within three points of knocking out a championship contender, with their best player going of for 40-- all while we only dressed 10 jerseys. Marvin, Rush, and Burke all out with injury.

Im telling you-- this team will not be as bad as people think we will be. We have so much ****ing talent, and every player on this roster doesn't want to lose.

Sorry to the tank crowd, but I'm expecting lotsa heart from this group of guys.

Great start to the season. Go Jazz!
