What's new

Jazz @ Heat | November 9th @ 5:30pm

So what's your excuse going to be when Fes finally subs in and the Jazz still look like garbage? I know somehow it's still going to be Jerry's fault, I'm just curious as to how.
Hello? McFly?

First of all, Fesenko's performance this year has warranted more playing time, so I need no excuse. Niether does Jefferson's performance in pretty much every game of the season including this one. Second, Fesenko falls into the same parameters as all players do: you give them a minimal amount of PT, which is at least 8 or 10 MPG. If they deserve more, you give them more. If the converse is true, then that's how you adjust. In-game strategy 101; not exclusive to basketball. Sloan is inconsistent because he neither penalizes poor performance from Jefferson, nor does he reward net positive effectiveness from Elson and Fesenko. Keep doing the same thing, and expect the same results. The difference is that if Sloan keeps this up, he might not even get the same results. This Jazz might not have another chance at the Lakers in the playoffs (except maybe in the 8th seed). But this team has enough talent to be better than that--under the right leadership.

How about finding a few players who can actually make a shot? CJ missed his first few shots so he probably won't play well. Millsap was the only guy making shots in the first. 2-18 and 10 missed shots in a row. The Jazz should be down 25 pts.

James Jones was somebody I wanted the Jazz to go after. The guy can shoot the rock.

Or we can start controlling the paint by playing some players with height.[/]

Does Fesenko have pictures of you and a goat in some compromising positions or something? Seriously, he's an offensive liability whom I hope sees as little playing time as possible. Just get over it already.
You expose youre narrow-mindedness with the words "offensive liability". That is exactly the stinking thinking that has gotten Utah in underperformance mode. As if Jefferson's 0 for 3 for 0 points in 10 minutes tonight isn't an offensive liability. As if his repeated poor boxing out hasn't been a liability on both ends of the floor.

The fact that Elson comes off the bench first is perplexing to me.
The guy hasn't done anything to beat out Fes.

The solution for Big Al is for him to just keep playing, keep shooting. I have had no problem with his shot selection, he just seems to be rushing a bit. I am confident that he will click at some point. The only thing clicking for Fesenko is the marbles rolling around in his head.

Do you realize the Heat are the best defensive team in the NBA? Do you realize it's not only Jefferson that looks like crap? Of course not. It all boils down to Fesenko for you.

In Game Strategy. Player struggles in first five minutes, bench them for the game. Bench scrub comes in and gets 5 points and 2 rebounds, play them 40 mpg.

Jazz need someone who can create and shoot. The system gets bogged down against teams that are good at rotating quickly.

Al Jeff is undersized against Ilgauskus at center.

I'm tired of Deron looking like he is sleep walking out there... It is actually painful to watch them slowly go through some of these plays.
