Memo to players complaining about minutes: Shut Your Mouth!

Internet badass! Don't you want a fresh team for the playoffs? Think ahead. The low minute strategy rocked for San Antonio a few years back. They traded home court advantage for fresh legs, were confident, and hurt teams. Jazz and every other team should do the same.

There's a huge difference in resting an old player and resting a player who's in his prime. The point is, if a coach wants you play the minutes, you play the minutes and you don't call him out.

It appears just about everyone in this thread is ****ing retarded. I'm not even sure where to start with the idiocy on this.

Keep hurling Rome's regurgitated crap, Archie.

I'm not sure you know what "call out" means. Actually, I take that back, I know you don't know what it means.

Hell, KD plays pretty much the whole game every game.

You want to take a guess who's 'calling out' his coach here?

“Nah. But it would have been cool to get a couple minutes (rest). My shots looked good. But we’ve got to do a better job of, leading up to the fourth quarter, having a better game. A couple minutes would have been cool. But I’m not going to blame it on that.”

I don't care about Lebron James. Dude is dead to me. We're talking about Deron Williams. So unless you want to bring anything besides conjecture and armchair quarterback responses, you'd be wise to stop.

Deron's minutes the past 3 games: 54 (double OT but take away the extra periods and it's still 44 minutes), 43 and 42.
He gets one rest to start the 2nd quarter and plays the entire 2nd-half. I don't think he's necessarily complaining, but no one who knows anything about the NBA can say this should continue for an 82-game season. We have to find a backup PG to give Deron atleast a 3 min rest in the 2nd-half or he'll be worn down by February. That said, I don't think it's so much the backup PG's as it is the entire 2nd-unit. If there was one more scorer (aka Millsap's old role) in that group whoever was playing backup PG would be running things more effectively.

Dude, I started the thread. I know what it is about. Did you read the OP? Was it just about Deron? Answer the question, big boy.

Nice try for a recovery though, num num head.

If I could edit this, I would. I apologize to most people in this thread, I skimmed the responses when I replied. Most of you have brains and kudos.

You can edit posts. Go to edit post, then click on "go advanced" or something like that.

I know, I know, I'm a nice guy.

I was listening to DJ and PK this morning and they were on the phone with Locke. Locke was talking about the back up PG situation and Deron getting too many minutes. Deron told Locke that he was getting too many minutes and Sloan better figure something out soon.

I know the NBA schedule is brutal and I'm amazed players can play a full season, but don't complain about too many minutes while you're in your prime. That's something I would expect from some ***** like AK or Tracy McGrady. Man up and play. Hell, KD plays pretty much the whole game every game.
You have a really bad memory.
