For anyone wondering why Alec played 12 minutes last night...

holy $&@$&balls you guys are awesome.1 for 17 and Hayward is a God. Favors is the king of disappearing yet he is amazing. Yet, Burks and Kanter who have a year less in the league they are the one under a microscope. It is called developing our young all of our young players. Favors and Hayward are hardly wowing out on the court. They get way more minutes and haven't blown me away.

Also he was a competent shooter before and now can not shoot at all...... his previous seasons when he shot from outside i felt that it had an ok chance of going in, but now i just hope its not an airball.

I know this is a copout and probably bs excuse but i think corbin has disliked him for his whole career..... I notice when burks gets a travelling called on him and they show corbin on the sideline that corbin is extremely upset about it promptly removes burks from the game.
Yet if jefferson, marvin, or hayward make a bunch of mistakes or play poorly, corbin seems to just clap his hands and encourage them and continue giving them minutes.

But I do agree that burks has totally sucked this season and its on himself......... His jumper is just so damn bad now and like hack said, he is not attacking the paint as well as he used to.
 
he sucked last night for sure. but if that's a prerequisite for not playing how the **** does a scrub like Lucas get any minutes

Where were you when I posted several times that Favors quit during the Eastern road trip?

Obviously not reading the forums, which means this post is pulling stuff out of your backside.

Benching him was the right decision. The end of shotclock corner 3 wasn't really his fault, but the other 3 shots were iso moves where he's too bad to be useful. I mean twice after the switch he didn't even attack the defender to get seperation, get motion going, he simply pulled up and gave the defender the chance to close out and get a hand in his face. So if I'm COrbin he doesn't enter the court until he figures out not to play isos, improve shot selection, not stop ball movement(hilarious how everything around him freezes on his possessions) and play within the system.

An athletic, slashing version of Gordan Giricek? At least Burks doesn't travel every other time.
 
I must be the only person in here that didn't see anything wrong with the shots Burks took. They weren't highly contested shots for the most part, the defense was giving him room, he just missed them. They didn't even look like bad misses.

What's he supposed to do? Not shoot when the defender sags off?

Agreed. I watched the video and thought that's a good shot. I wish he would have made them but he had to take those shots. One was even with time running out in the half.

Burks is terrific in the open floor and a great slasher. If the only shots he is getting are 20-footers off the dribble, how much blame do you put on him, how much do you put on his teammates, and how much do you put on the coach and his system?

I'm putting blame on Corbin, he should use Burks strengths more... but yeah....
