Jazz should try and get Stephen Jackson

On ESPN says he is available. As you saw tonight, he can create, hit the 3, has some toughness and can defend a little. Dont know what it would take to get him

If not him, a much easier option via trade is Marcus Thorton. He is the odd man out for the Hornets and was really good last year

Hayward is the ***** right now and Bell is providing good D and leadership but needs to be a 6th,7th or 8th man. Miles is too inconsistent.

The SG depth and production is my only complaint on the Jazz so far

If it is only based on the game tonight then the Jazz should go for Nazr.

Seriously, i think the Jazz tried to get Jackson a few years back. But i forgot why he didn't end up with the Jazz.

I tell you what, The Jazz need to get someone who can make the opposing team pay for all these mis-matches.

Friday night we get Joe Johnson on DW and Bibby on the 2 - nothing

Tonight we get Gerald Wallace on DW and Augustin on the 2 - nothing.

Yeah, The Jazz are winning but when the opposing team has that little respect for your 2 that they are will to give up 4-6 inches and 25-35 pounds every night, eventually it's going to come back to bite you in the ***.

Agree the Jazz need a shooter but Stephen Jackson?

A) he is a criminal
B) He is getting old 33 this year
C) he makes 8.4M(10-11) 9.2M(11-12)10M(12-13)

Pass.

No thanks, there are better options out there if we really tried hard enough. Question is, are the Jazz even trying or are they comfortable with the roster as is?

I'd rather try and swing a Danny Granger deal.

I mean, we're ignoring exactly how we'd get Jackson, but assuming it could be done, I'd rather have Granger at ~$1M more.

The Jazz don't have the assets to acquire Granger.

If Larry Brown gets his way, Stephen Jackson can be had. They may be interested in a deal centered around Memo, especially with the non-existent offensive firepower in their frontcourt. Plus, they'd drop a year of salary from their books.

Is Granger not on the market now? I thought I had read that the Pacers would be open to trading him this summer.

Also I'd think if Memo/Jackson could be done, then Memo/Granger could be done too, in principle.

Jackson is a great player, but I also wonder how he and Sloan would get along.
