Granger was never on the market. Over the summer, it was rumored that several teams were trying to acquire him. Larry Bird stated quite emphatically that he never considered any of the offers. (One of them was Al Jefferson for Granger straight across.)

Why would Indiana trade Danny Granger? He's their whole team, the face of their franchise, by far their best player, etc.
 
How the **** is Stephen Jackson not a coachable player? Seriously, Tim Duncan considers him the ultimate teammate, and his previous coaches have gushed about him.

Larry Brown doesn't like him though, it seems, and so maybe he's available. He's old, his contract isn't great, and they have a need for offensive frontcourt players. That's why they may have interest in Memo (certainly more than Indiana...).

And Josh Smith? Gerald Wallace? Steph Curry? OJ Mayo? The Jazz would have to gut their team to get these guys.

I think Stephen Jackson is attainable and, if it's for Memo+, well worth trying to get.
 
Again, my point was to refute the notion that Charlotte would trade Jackson. Why would they trade (if not option 1 on offense) option 1A?

I was just saying, essentially, "If we are tossing out speculative trades, why not suggest a really good one and go for Granger"

As Chad mentioned a few posts back (and as I subsequently agreed), I highly doubt either GM would let KOC finish the question before they hung up on him.
 
No thanks. And after tonight what I saw tonight was terrible shooting. You want him based on 5-13 from three and 6-18 overall? Meaning he was 1-5 inside the arc.

No thanks. Not only does he not fit the role of a Jazz player he is not worth the money.

Agree with all this. Jackson will still be a goodplayer for the next three years. He really is not showing signs of slowing down. He is a great multi dimensional player which allows him do alot more than shoot.
 
SJax should be on the short list of players to consider. The issue is that the Jazz don't have much to trade with--basically they'd have to choose between Memo and AK. AK's been playing pretty well.

Huh, I never heard his retraction. I do remember when Utah played North Carolina in the late 90s in the Final Four that a Utah player was accused of using that word. The North Carolina guy admitted he was lying later.
