Harden is really, really bad at defense. He's a lazy player.

I can see why they would be mad at him.
 
Harden is such a one-dimensional player. He literally gives no ****s on defense, that's not a hyperbole. I don't think it's a stretch to call him Gilbert Arenas-esque at this point of his career.

Lol. This was a huge overreaction on jfz no doubt. I wasn't a big fan of our picking of Burke on draft day, but wasn't going to completely overlook him for Neto, but good lord I didn't think he'd look this good this early, or ever look this good ever.

he looked like a ten year vet. My favorit play was with time running down on the shot clock he drove to the hoop with nothing available, he kept his cool and dribble reset the offense, drove the lane again and found Favors for an easy 2 points. I got a jazz boner after seeing that!


Love that he keeps his dribble as he probes the defense. In a year or two he will consistently get assists from this tactic.

What's wrong about it?

Harden is lazy. He makes boozer look like Charles Oakley on defense. And he chucks some of the dumbest shots you'll ever see. Only Monta carlino and Carmelo Haws chuck worse. Harden is good at chucking and scoring but he isn't a superstar. Superstars IMO play both sides of the ball.

I think rockets fans aren't receiving the credit they deserve. They recognize that their style is entertaining... But it isn't going to win them anything.
 
When deron was averaging 21, 10, and 4 on 47% shooting there were still people complaining. And even now people don't want to remember how unbelievably good he was with us.

No matter where you go, people will find a reason to hate.

Sadly yes, well I wouldn't say "we" I would say a select few and not near to the degree of HOU.

There is some small truths to what they say but then they take that small truth and make it into a huge mountain of exaggeration. Okay yes that also sounds familiar.

Harden used to play better D and pass a lot more and better in OKC but then he also had Durant and Westbrook on offense. Not sure why his D has went so far south, could be complacency after getting his max contract, could be him not wanting to pick up fouls because he knows his team needs him on the floor could be other things not sure.

But as someone said their is only one Lebron and so he shouldn't be put in or compared to him.

We did, the player was Boozer, and lazy matador D was the same thing we bitched and whined about. Which is also the thing that Bulls fans now bitch and whine about - they wanted Boozer amnestied. As much as it pains me to say it, the Rockets fans are dead on, because Boozer's D >>>> Harden's D.
