I never had to quit so all I could do would be to regurgitate what I have read, about identifying triggers beyond the physical craving for the nicotine, and replacing those triggers with alternatives to smoking to be proactive, like going for a quick walk in the morning rather than the morning cigarette, or changing up routines like what bar you go to after work or the ubiquitous gum chewing or twiddling a pencil to keep your hands occupied during your break period. I hope you get through it with minimal difficulty. I can tell you that cancer sucks, so anything you can do to minimize the risks is a good thing.
