My parents had one. It was a long metal pointy kitchen tool that they used for breaking up ice. They would sometimes freeze ice in gallon containers, then break up the ice before putting it into our homemade ice-cream mixer.

Usta be, the iceman would bring yo *** ice in five gallon chunks. Mungst other thangs, ya would use it to chill food in yo "ice box." Everybuddy and his brutha had his self a ice pick back then. Ole Jer remembers, eh?
