Imo, kanter is mentally of his game for one reason: rebounds. I think he came into the season preparing to average 10+ boards a game.
Knowing that d fav was playing as well, he knew that the only way he was gonna get that was on the offensive glass. And he did that...those first five or so games he was an offensive glass behemoth. He put all his eggs in that basket, and the o board was his puppy.
Corbin them kicked said puppy... got pissy because kanter wasn't back on d fast enough, which is the trade off. Further chastisement made him feel less important, and like an infant. Like his ideas and contributions weren't worth crap.
With favors' recent return to beast mode defense, id like to see kantrr go back to that mindset. Coach C would never allow it...but i think it can work.
