What's new

Jazz @ Blazers | Saturday November 20th @ 8pm

The Jazz are good in bounce back games so hopefully they bring it tonight. Only time will tell. The problem with so many new faces on the roster this year is you get a jekyll/hyde effect with them. You never know which team will show up, the out of sync lost team or the completely in sync dominant one. I think we show up tonight though, Jazz by 5.

What completely in sync dominant one again? Even the 4 wins against the Eastern teams, the Jazz had to fight tooth and nail to get, slowly erasing a large deficit. A couple of home wins were also quite ugly (Clippers and Nets). They did play well against Thunders. So I suppose it'll either be the Jazz who showed up against the Thunder, or the ones in the other 12 games.

I hate to ask this, since I have a League Pass broadband subscription, but since it's blacking me out for no apparent reason . . .

anyone know of a stream other than atdhe.net (which doesn't seem to be working)?

can't find it either...

Jefferson in standard form, tied for the early lead in the worst +/-, just like he had last game.

At least the coaching staff decided to bring in Elson after <9 minutes of AJ being so-so. It's a step in the right direction.

Camby rebounding: 6. Jazz frontcourt rebounding: 4.

Catch & Jack = 2 treys in a row. Doesn't even try to set up the offense for the third jack.

Still better option than Bell on average.

Aldridge turnaround jumper on Elson, who doesn't even lift a finger. Makes me think that Fes would be better out there.

Zero sign of Fesenko. He's either not 100% healthwise, or Phil Johnson might be the source of KF's burial in the doghouse.

Update: Elson does get down for the fast break after a failed postup of Jefferson (and subsequent steal of the pass), but Elson commits a weak foul, and Portland gets the And 1.

Utah is in this game because of outside shooting. And that's no secure position to be in.

Portland points in the paint: 26 to 12. The Elson-Jefferson pairing isn't overly impressive.

Both teams are 8-5. But Utah would be at least 11-2 if it weren't for the rebounding (or coaching).

POR 48-45 halftime. Oh, and btw, the Blazers are without some dude named Brandon.

Portlant OREBs: 10. Utah OREBs: 1. [This alone is basis for benching someone.]

Deron Williams looks like a shell of himself tonight. I guess the foot is bothering him a lot. Once we started to box out a little we made some real progress.

Great effort by Jefferson tonight. I wonder why he can't play this hard every now and then.

C.J. and Al carried us big!!!! Great minutes out of earl, RP and Elson. Each had their moments... What a nice gut check win. Time to take care of business at home and get ROLLING!!!!

Go Jazz!
