Pick who you think will be the top four players from this yrs draft

Rank the top 4 draft prospects from best to worst in your opinion and the reason why. Don't rank them according to who you want the Jazz to draft. After watching a lot of college basketball the last couple months and going over a lot of game film this is my top 4.

1. Joel Embiid - He has been impressing me more and more every game, He seems to do something new every game and is learning quick. He has only played basketball for 3 yrs now but you couldn't tell by watching him play. He has all the tools to be a force in the NBA on defense and offense. He is raw but if you watch him from game to game you will see the improvement happening in front of your eyes. I would like to see a little more toughness from him though as he seems to shy away from contact.

2. Andrew Wiggins - I had him behind Jabari about a month ago until I started going through game films and Jabari's recent struggles on offense. Wiggins recently has become more aggressive on offense and defense and seems to be gaining confidence s time goes by. He shows flashes of a player that's going to be real good at times. He stepped up big against Iowa State with 19 rebounds the other day. He seems to have good lateral movement and should have success in the NBA guarding other 3's in the NBA. At 6'8" he has the length and all the tools to be a good defensive player. Some of his weaknesses is that he seems to take plays off at times and almost seems as if though he is not interested. He also needs to improve his outside shot but if he does he will be a very good offensive player in the NBA.

3. Julius Randle - He brings good size, strength, quickness, and agility. He has an arsenal of offense around the hoop and knows how to finish plays although he plays below the rim.He brings a little toughness to the game and not afraid of a little contact. On defense he has good lateral movement and is a good positional defender but he is not a shot blocker. He has a lot of turnovers and needs to learn how to pass out of double and triple teams. He has a tendency to make a lot of freshman mistakes that he should improve on in time. Needs to improve outside shooting and work on the passing game.

4. Jabari Parker - I think he is the most polished offensive player out of the freshman class. He is a good outside/inside scorer. He can drive to his left or right and has a good drop back shot. He can finish a play when there is contact. He can pass the ball and is a good ball handler for his size. He is a pretty good rebounder and he can stretch the defense out with his shooting ability from three point range. Over the last 5 games he has been in a big slump offensively (FG% 32.2 3PT% 23.8 FT 78.6% REB 6.0 AST 0.8 STL 0.6 BLK 0.8 TO 1.4 PTS 10.8) mostly because of poor shot selection. He should have no problem scoring in the NBA but his defense leaves a lot to be desired. Watching game film I noticed his lateral movement is not very good, that he gets beat often when he is guarding the perimeter, and that he gets lost on defense at times especially on the pick n roll. Some of the bigger players had no problem posting him up in the paint and he plays below the rim for the most part. He does have long arms and get a lot of deflections on defense though and gets out on the fast breaks. The question is "Can he improve on defense?" I would personally consider him a tweener and I think he might be too slow to guard the small forwards on the perimeter and too small to guard the power forwards in the post but he could turn out to be the best offensive player in this draft.

If Jabari does go fourth then I think the Jazz will have an excellent chance to get him if that's who they want. I would like to see the Jazz draft Embiid myself.

This! Nothing wrong with having focused threads, and no need to go after a poster for taking the time to make a well thought out thread.

1. Embiid - size matters in the NBA. He has all the tools to be a great athletic center. Has the nastiness and the "it" factor to take over a game on both ends of the court. I think when he develops a consistent 15ft shot he will be tough to stop. Does need to cut down on his fouling. Defensively he is a monster. Makes some incredible blocks and is a very good rebound. Might need to put on a little more weight. A rotation of Kanter/Favors/Embiid/Gobert would be devastating to other teams.
2. Wiggins - He is starting to show his talent. What sets him apart from Parker is his ability to defend his position. His outside shot is better than I thought. He still needs to work on his aggressiveness. That is the reason why he isn't number one.
3. Parker- The most polished offensive player but what position does he play in the pros. Will he be able to defend the 4 or 3. He is going to have to change his body either way.
4. Randle - he is a beast on the offensive end. Still needs better effort on the defensive end. I think he can defend well but sometimes a lack of effort keeps him from doing it. Offensively, he needs to learn to pass the ball and pass it where it suppose to go. His turnovers are still a problem. Sometimes he tries to take on 3 guys. Will his physical strength be as big as an advantage in the NBA. I don't think so.

At this point I would be excited about any one of these guys. However, I would be slightly disappointed if the Jazz got Randle because I think he is the worse fit for the Jazz as far as team chemistry goes. Jazz have two PFs in Kanter and Favors. Yea I know some people think they are centers and yes they can play that position but need a starting center and even more they need wing shooters.

Need:
1. Wiggins
2. Parker
3. Embiid
4. Randle

Exum. What if he turns out to be better than the other four? Kind of like how Jordan was better than Hakeem and Sam Bowie?

What are the differences between Exum and Wiggins? What little investigating I've done, they seem to be the same player to me.

Wiggins is a Shooting guard that maybe can play small forward, Exum is a combo guard. Wiggins is 6'8" 205 and Exum is 6'6" 180.

And no, Hotkkk, I don't think Wiggins is a small forward. He is less of a small forward than Hayward.

So, if the only difference is one is a SG and one is a SF, then I think I want Exum, due to his willingness to take things over. Hasn't a big crack on Wiggins been his "fire"? If they are the same player, with the same potential, then I want the kid with the "fire".

Yes the crack on wiggins has been his fire and it is valid.

As far as them being the same player...... wiggins looks to be alot taller and much longer.... exum is not even close to wiggins in jumping ability

1. Andrew Wiggins
2. Jabari Parker
3. Joel Embiid
4. Dante Exum

I'd prefer an elite athlete or scorer to go with the Core5 guys. Also, I wouldn't complain too much about landing Julius Randle, Marcus Smart or Aaron Gordon. If the Core5 keeps playing like they have AND can learn how to play together, one of those three listed could be a BEAST coming off the bench for a few seasons.

What fairy land do they invent this stuff in? Exum is the most laxativical high school player you'll ever see.
