I heard on 1320 that Memo went through a full practice, meaning he should be ready to go sooner than later.

Now is this good news, or bad? No, it can't be bad news, but what will the team do with minutes? And how about who starts at the C? Sloan has always said you don't lose a position due to injury, so Memo should start. So who get's benched??? Millsap? Al? AK? (J.k.)

Personally I think the answer is Memo should get very restricted minutes util he is back into game shape, and then we see who is preforming the best. Memo will probably never play quite as well as he used to, so he probably doesn't start this year or the next. Too bad about the injury, but I'm sure the team will welcome his abilities considering how pathetic our bench has been this year.

Okur usually plays much better at home then he does on the road, so I think once he returns and gets in game shape the Jazz home performance will get much better.

Even though the starting lineup needs tweaking, I highly doubt that Memo will start.

I do think he can help this team with his shooting, which, in itself, we are in need of. But the way he spreads the floor with his shot has been missed more than I expected it would. With him in the game Millsap and Jefferson should get more space to operate.

While I was watching the Spurs-Jazz game the other night I realized how important it is to be able to run a two-man game down the stretch. Sometimes I think the Jazz's O has too many moving parts, and Memo should be able to help create the space for DWill and Jefferson or DWill and Millsap to do this sort of thing.

I doubt he averages more than 20 minutes a game for the year. I think he'll see those minutes at PF and C, off the bench.

When Memo got injured, we didn't have Al Jefferson. If Memo had never been injured, we would still be starting Big Al over Memo because Al Jefferson is the better player. The line about players not losing their starting job due to injury doesn't apply in this case. I think the starting lineup will remain the same. (At the pf/c position.) My guess is that it will be AK and Fes who lose minutes when Memo returns. Just my take...

We only scored 93 against Sacramento. We need more offense and certainly dont think he is worse defensively than Jefferson. The fewer minutes Jefferson and Millsap play the fresher they will be playoff time. I also think that if he does come back healthy he could end up being traded to get some luxury tax relief though.

I expect the new Normal will be for Memo and CJ to be the first subs off the bench for AK and Big Al. Millsap/Elson can guard the quicker bigs to protect Memo. Against matchups where Memo and Al can play together I expect to see them on the court together.

Fess will probably not get any minutes except in the case of foul trouble.

I am more interested to see if/when Hayward can eat into Ronnie Price's minutes at some point in the future.

That is all pure speculation on your part. While Jefferson may be the slightly better player, he has clearly not been a good compliment to Williams and Millsap. The spacing has been terrible. Okur would alleviate that and now the Jazz have a powerful boost off the bench with Jefferson teamed up with Miles. Ginobbli has arguably been San Antonio's 2nd best player for years now and they won many championships with him off the bench.

It is speculation, but it is also a highly educated guess. We traded for Jefferson to be a star, and a cornerstone of this team. The plan must have been for him to start. The alternative to starting Jefferson at center would have been to start him at PF and keep Millsap on the bench. That has always been a more likely scenario than Jefferson coming off the bench. But I no longer think that's on the table, because Millsap is also better than Memo, and the coaching staff knows it.

Before Memo plays significant minutes, the Jazz need to make sure he doesn't have any lingering issues (if that's even possible). The Jazz could use him, but they're doing okay without him. The only thing less valuable than a hobbled Memo is a re-injured one, and whether they want to keep him or move him, he needs to be in the absolute best shape he can be.

It seems people forget Memo is the MONEY MAN. lol.
But really, we have NO ONE to shoot the big shots except DWill. Memo and his shooting will be a huge help. I would estimate 20-25 per game once he is good to go.
Also, even with his 'outside' playing style, Memo is a decent rebounder. We could use help there.

I am not worried about Memo he has never moved very well anyways. I mean he could basically come back today and camp on the 3 point line.
