The family saying the boy is a hero, well, that's nice, but maybe one of the saved should have stopped him. Not to be cold and what not, but the life of an upstanding, brave, caring 8 year old is not worth sacrificing in an effort to save his disabled uncle and grandfather. Not to say those other men were not important, but an 8 year old is not the person to send back in after them. Straight up tragedy. A kid allowed to follow his heart when someone should have grabbed him and held onto him.

The kid IS a hero. And yes, some of those others should have stepped up and stopped him.

I'm surprised by some of your comments. Since none of you know the situation, who was there, what happened, etc. I find it odd that you're condemning the other people for allowing this kid to be a hero.

For all we know, that kid would have grown up to be the next Adolf Hitler and this was PearlWatson's God's way of getting him out of the picture.

I have to admit, I didn't even consider that.

The world cannot afford another Hitler, that's for sure.

I guess it's better to slap your knee than get slapped around by Hantlers or NAOS. You're smart to keep your distance.

Sup bro, haven't seen you for ages. Was starting to miss ya. ;)

I don't think this is a case of "sent back in." I don't think he ever left the trailer.
It sounds like he saved them in the sense that he woke those 6 who were mobile, and then tried to help the uncle.
The aunt tried to go back in after getting her kids out and got burnt in the process.

So why did God allow the real Hitler to live if he let this kid die so he wouldn't grow up to be the next Hitler? Your comment seems ridiculous if you were being serious.
