Well, I didn't have access to the sorting of the stat, and I guess a 9.0 ORR looks good when next to a 13.5 DRR.

Anyone stating Fes is a good rebounder or helps out the team's cause in that area is just as delusional as Salty is about anything Ute. Seriously. Try to be objective. I love Fes. He's playing so much better this year, is a difference maker on the floor, and does things that don't show up in stat sheets. But the kid has zero rebounding instincts and is a ****ing joke in that area when it comes down to it. A few games ago when I checked he was at 2.1 rebounds in 10.0 minutes per night. An athletic 7 footer on pace for 6.3 rebounds in 30 minutes of play? Are you kidding me? Get a ****ing clue and up out of his *** fanboys. The kid's a riot and is effective on the court. But his rebounding blows.

He's solid in defensive positioning, and he's decent running the offense despite not being able to score outside of five feet. That makes him, what, a worse version of Ostertag with slightly better hands?
I hope you get an STD from a toilet seat.

Fes is not a good rebounder....yet.
I'm hoping that with consistent playing time he might develop that skill better.
What Fes does is change the tone of our line up when he's on the floor. He's not a stat stuffer like AK, but AK isn't a game changer
much anymore. This coaching staff is jackpotting with Fes. They don't know how to deal with him, and it's hurting our rotation.
We just don't have anyone else to clog the lane, and Fes does a decent job of that right now. Elson, Big Al, and Sap are brutal to watch
on defense. They won't cut it against teams like SA, LA, and OKC. We must have a defensive presense down low. Go with Fes or him away trade for somebody.

Yet? Sorry bro but I disagree. Rebounding, for the most part, is not a learned skill that one improves on much at all with playing time and experience. You either board or you don't. And he doesn't. In fact, he's gotten worse over his career for whatever reason.

I'd like to see someone make an athletic move slashing to the rim, rather than just spotting up over and over.
Anyone watching this? There are some nice plays on both ends...

Congratulations to you several stat-box readers who were able to find that Fesenko has a low rebounding rate. Unfortunately for you, rebounding is only a small portion of defense, and I already imparted upon you the notion that Boozer got a free pass for years for the flawed notion that his rebounding justified his defense.
Tonight, Fes has played poorly, and it was wise for Sloan to take Fesenko out. Elson had a much better game, and Jefferson was a bit better against a similarly sized, similar-speed center in Okafor. (And also against a very large but aging Mbenga.)
I'm still skeptical that a 4/5 rotation of Millsap-Jefferson-Okur-Elson can handle the rotation of Gasol-Bynum-Odom-Ratliff, but it's nice to see that Jefferson and Elson seem to be moving in the right direction. Something tells me that PM, AJ, and FE are gonna get more opportunity more opportunity on Friday than Fes. It is also promising that CJ and Ronnie Price are becoming more consistent, too, because RP has been a gadfly against the Lakers especially, even hounding the much taller Kobe.
Hopefully this will give Utah some momentum going into Friday. It would be nice to see Utah come out tough against the Fakers and punch 'em in the mouth early.
