Anybody read the 'Under the Dome'? It's gotta little bit of a Lord of the Flies, Animal Farm feel, but it's got King's fondness for the gruesome. It's a lot like a soap opera because there are so many stories happening simultaneously, but it has much more depth than a soap opera obviously.

I'm about 600 pages in, so please don't ruin the end for me.

Also started reading 'Invisible Man' last night. Good so far.

Loved under the dome.

One if his top 10 imo.

His best (in my opinion) is Cell.
Please read it next and tell me what you think

It's hard for me to comment without ruining the ending, so I'm just gonna stay quiet. I will say that it reminded me a lot of "Dream Catcher". May I recommend that you do NOT attempt reading The Stand. It really isn't that good, and it's looooong as ****. Listen to it while you drive; much easier and then you won't feel so bad about wasting time reading it.

If you really want a King experience, read the Dark Tower series. Almost every book he's ever written has some sort of connection throughout the series, and as you read more King books, you'll catch the connections. It is fascinating and pretty amazing considering it happened over 30+ years. The ending of the series is quite possibly the greatest ending of any book, show, movie, etc. ever conceived.

What do you mean by this?
I didnt like the cop out ending at the very end if thats what you are talkin about.

The last books were good though, just not the very very end
 
Another king book i liked alot is The Tommy knockers

I've started book 1 and it's taking forever to get through half of it. So many mundane details that I catch myself drifting off repeatedly. Two pages after 10:00 p.m. and I'm out.

If that's how you feel in book one I'm gonna bet you're gonna give up on book four. I want him to finish this damn series out before he dies. But I also hope he picks up the ****ing pace a little or else he's gonna need ten books to get where he seems to be going.

Gameface you are confused.
The author (robert jordan) of the wheel of time is already dead and the series is finished.

I think you are thinking of game of thrones and george rr martin

Maybe it is not for you. Book gets very slow around book 6-10. Crossroads of Twilight has somewhat no progression. Lots of guys quit the book at that point. Books get great afterwards though and I have to say it's the best fantastic-fiction books-series I have ever read excluding anything from Tolkien.

Cop out ending? You can't be serious... In a million years, did you see that coming?
