Agree. Corbin cannot be the coach going forward. But there is no reason to replace him before the end of the season. Who right now is available that would step in? No one is going to accept a 40 game contract. Do you let Lowe take over? I think Lindsey already has a short list of candidates and likely wants to wait to see if anyone else becomes available after the season. As mentioned, Thibodeau would be an excellent choice, if Chicago is stupid enough to get rid of him.

Oh, absolutely not, you're right. I'm not saying let him go now. But I also have zero faith he is gone at the end of the season either.

My only hope is that DL gives 2 ****s about the Millers "loyalty" to Corbin and actually believes his charge is to put together the best championship winning organization he can.

"Help me Dennis Lindsey, you're my only hope".

I think there is a greater chance of letting Corbin go under Lindsey than there was under KOC. Lindsey doesn't have to show loyalty to Ty; he wasn't part of that decision to make him the coach. The fact that they did not extend Corbin's contract, Lindsey OPENLY saying Ty would be judged on how the Jazz do defensively...that all gives me hope Corbin won't be back. It's a much kinder exit for Corbin simply saying the Jazz have decided not to extend a contract instead of firing him.

We can cry about not having Hornacek; he was an unknown quantity and has certainly proven himself. But that was never going to happen. Lindsey was committed to having a non-playoff season and getting a top-10 pick. Now we're all hoping top-5. If Corbin can take us there, I say give him a nice parting gift. Maybe hire the coach at UVSC as a scout and have Corbin replace him.

If we were able to just land Jabari and Thibbs then I'd give up any player or asset not named Gordon, Trey, Derrick or Enes. Even then I'd still give up some of that but just sayin'.

As much as I want to get rid of the 2017 Warriors pick.

The difference between burks and the 2017 pick could be huge. That 2017 pick could very well be number 1 in a draft that might be better than this years draft. Jazz are never trading that pick.

They probably won't trade burks either though. But the 2017 pick is more valuable than burks is to this team. Particularly because the 2017 pick should be a good contributing player on a rookie contract when our current guys all look to get paid.

Exactly. There will be turnover. Pick 4 or maybe 5 main guys and that's all Utah will be able to keep from the core rotation. The other 3-4 will likely change as contracts mature and the Jazz are forced to decide whether to re-up or trade the player away. I don't buy into the "2017 draft should be epic" craze. That is predicting how a young HS player now will do after 1 yr of college. There are good years and bad. And I don't hold out hope for GS to suddenly become a terrible team and give us a top pick. But the more assets we have, the better.

watching the GSW bobcats game right now. Warriors are seriously 1 curry injury away from being quite a bad team.
