Memphis cannot trade to us any picks for 2014 and 2015, even the second-rounders. They do not have any bad contracts. They do not have any players that we may be interested in (Kosta Koufus, anyone?).
In short, Memphis has nothing to offer to the Jazz, which makes the chances of any trade almost nil.
I'll admit this is a tough one for me. I think cap space will be valuable this summer. I vote trade, however, for 2 reasons:
a. Utah gets worse this season helping their pick
b. Memphis does have a shot at making the playoffs (only 2 1/2 back of GS).
Don't like Prince on the roster, but he's an expiring contract next season. Even a pick in the 20's would be decent value for Marvin. Might be able to combine that pick with GS's (let's assume BOTH teams make the playoffs) for one in the late teens if there is a player Lindsey really likes in that range.
