Hayward --> Celtics ?

At a certain point i think we need to think about when we want to be contending for a title and think about whether it's a good idea to be trading away a player nearing his peak (probably not the best wording) for another rookie.

Yeah, I'd rather not get more projects.

Yeah but if Hayward's gonna demand $12m+ in the open market, is it prudent to have all that CA$H locked up on a guy who isn't a great shooter and is wildly inconsistent?

If the answer is "No", then now is the time to cash in and grab some assets & flexibility.

if this trade goes down it will look something like this

Boston trades

Wallace
humphries
top 3 protected first or unprotected next year

jazz trade

jefferson or biedrins
rush or Williams
Hayward

I don't think DL would take on Wallace's contract even if you remove the protection. He is making 10+ million a year until 2016 and averages 4 points a game.

Small price to pay for putting Humphries back on the team. There is nothing more inevitable than Kris Humphries re-suiting up with the Jazz.

Also, Olynyk is like Memo? Child, Please. . . .

If these samples of their opinions are at all representative of the group, then they are far more delusional than we are.

Would be happy with Hayward for Wallace and Bos (unprotected) 1st. We aren't competing anytime this year or next so who cares if we take on Wallace's salary, it'll be an expiring contraxt next year so we could probably trade it away anyway if we really need to. + Hayward is a scrub, I'd take any of the projected top 9 over him.
