Locke just tweeted that Burks lately gets to the line at a higher % of his possessions then both Durant and Harden.

Burks at 18% Harden 16% and Durant is at 15%. This is over the last ten games.

You realize that when hayward was out with injury that burks scored a career high 34 pts as a starter and averaged over 20 per game for the 5 games he has started right?

As far as his production when teams start focusing on him goes.... no one knows how he will do in that situation

So ya go ahead and dont give him the benefit of the doubt and just assume he wont be able to handle it.


I did see miami focusing on alec and doing everything they could think of to stop him.... without being able to (burks scored 31 and had 7 assists btw)
In that game wade guarded him the most, but they also used lebron, chalmers, cole, allen, and bosh on him. None slowed him down.
They also tried doubling and triple teaming him..... leading to his 7 assists.

But we should just assume he cant handle it


Oh ya and he is 22 years old so lets just assume that he wont improve and will never be able to be a quality starter.

We already know what happens -- the offense stagnates and Burks cannot drive. But the apologists think he's MJ or Harden or Wade and ignore the on-ball/off-ball differences in play.

Burks wouldn't do much without the two on-ball players JF currently wants thrown out with the trash creating for him (Hayward and Burke).

Funny how burks played his best game of his career with hayward injured and looked good while hayward was out with injury.... and the team won at about the same rate

Burks has played 3 of the worst NBA defenses, especially at protecting the rim. His numbers are kind of overblown as of late.


His last good game against a legit defense was against the Warriors and he had a great game. He stank it up vs. The Mavericks and the Clippers and was mediocre against the Heat.

Sorry bro, but pretty sure teams are already scouting him and are TRYING to stop him. He is not an unknown.

He did have a six point game while hayward was out..... in that game he was 1-2 from the field, 4-4 from the line and had 5 assists in 28 minutes.

And the jazz won.

Just shows that he doesnt need to dominate the ball to be effective and help the team win.
